Grilling
For grilling please use the grilling grid. Use suitable heatresistant
tableware or place the food to be grilled directly on the grid.
“Preheating” the grill is not necessary, as the grill produces radi-
ant heat immediately.
Proceed as follows for roasting and scalloping:
1. Press the MICRO./GRILL/COMBI. button once. Then use
the rotary button to select the MODE (G).
2. Press the MICRO./GRILL/COMBI. button to confi rm your
settings.
3. Use the turning knob to set the desired cooking time be-
tween 5 seconds and 95 minutes.

4. Press the QUICK START/START button to start operation.
ޥ NOTE:
After half of the time has elapsed, signal tones will alert you
to turn the food over. If the door remains closed, the appliance
starts again after approximately 60 seconds. If you would like
the appliance to continue operation sooner, press the QUICK
START/START button.
WARNING:
Open and close the door at its handle only. Risk of burns!
After the time has elapsed, the device will turn off and 5 signal
tones will sound. Take the food from the device.
Combination of grill and microwave operation
When using these settings, microwave and grill operate in turns
during the pre-set time with the following ratio:

1. Press the MICRO./GRILL/COMBI. button once. Then use
the rotary button to select the desired power level (C-1 or
C-2).
2. Press the MICRO./GRILL/COMBI. button to confi rm your
settings.

tween 5 seconds and 95 minutes.
4. Press the QUICK START/START button to start operation.
After the time has elapsed, the device will turn off and 5 signal
tones will sound. Take the food from the device.
Tips on Combined Operation
If you prepare food using the combined microwave-grill functions
you should note the following:
For large, thick foods such as roast pork the microwave time is
correspondingly longer than for small, fl at foods. However, in
the case of the grill it is the other way round. The closer the
food is to the grill, the faster it turns brown. This means that
when large joints are prepared using combined operation the
grilling time may be shorter than for smaller joints.
Please use the grid for grilling in order to achieve rapid and
even browning. (Exception: large, thick items of food are grilled
directly on the rotating plate!)
Auto functions
Use the auto functions to cook certain amounts of foods auto-
matically. Proceed as follows:
1. Press the AUTO MENU button once. Then use the rotary
button to select the desired automatic program. Choose one
of the settings given in the table below.
