It is recommended to end an intensive rowing session with a recovery
phase. During this phase you should be able to relax and paddle wit-

with counng down from 60 seconds to 0, all other funcons are not

Once the 60 seconds recovery phase is over, an evaluaon of the achie-
ved heart rate will be shown.
If your heart rate is sll very high aer 60s (F is between 4 and 6), you
could restart the recovery program to gradually slow your heart rate
further.

For pulse measurement, the pulse measuring unit 9309 must be in pla-
ce. The use of the pulse measuring unit makes it possible for you to
accurately monitor your own training programme by exact, real-me
measurement of your heart rate. The installaon of the system is very
simple and easily done.
The pulse measuring unit was developed especially for use with this
machine. The user puts on the unit and the transmier of the unit re-
gisters the ECG signals of the heart. The transmier amplies the ECG
signals and transmits them in the form of radio signals to the receiver
installed in the computer.
The transmier switches on automacally when the pulse measuring
unit is put on and the rear of the pulse measuring unit have made con-
tact with the breast. Any kind of normal training clothes may be worn
over the pulse measuring unit. The receiver installed in the computer
receives the signals from the transmier and transfers these in the
form of electrical impulses to the computer. The computer processes
the signals and displays them as pulse beats per minute on the display.
To aain an opmum performance of the pulse measuring unit, the
machine should be set up for training in such a manner that it is as far
as possible from all high-voltage power lines, electric motors and other
sources which can cause interference. Adjust the strap to your chest
measurement and put on the enre unit as depicted in the illustraon.
Ensure that the strap is not too loose and that the transmier is loca-
ted at the centre of your chest. The unit and thereby the pulse measu-
ring system is then installed and ready for use.
Clean the pulse measuring unit aer each training session with a cloth
moistened with a soap soluon and then with a cloth moistened with
pure water. This prevents the accumulaon of sweat which could lead
to inaccurate measurements.
If you noce during training that the values which must be displayed by
the computers appear irregularly or the symbol “P” appears in the dis-
play, conduct the following check procedure:
 Check that the strap is not too loose and/or has slipped too far dow-
nwards.
 Check whether the Christopeit-sport Brand on the transmier of the
pulse measuring unit is posioned correctly and is legible to a person
looking at the person in training.
 Ensure that the computer is switched on.
Moisten the part of the strap neat the transmier and which comes
into contact with the skin lightly with water to improve the transmis-
sion.
 Check whether the baery in the transmier is spent and change
this if necessary.
Remove and replace the baeries.
