If children or persons with physical or mental dis-
abilities should use the unit, proper supervision is
required. The unit has small parts which can become
detached and be accidentally ingested. Children must
be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the unit.
· this product is not a toy.
· this product must be assembled, maintained and
handled by an adult.
· this product must remain in the place of use only for
the time required for therapy. Once therapy has been
completed, the unit must be stored in a safe place out
of reach of children.
• Do not use ttings and accessories not recommend-
ed by the manufacturer.
• During use, make sure the unit is placed on a at and
stable surface to prevent any spillage. During use, the
surface must be free of any objects that may obstruct
the correct flow of air. Only use when in the horizon-
tal position, as shown in figure A.
• Never leave the cable plug inserted in the electrical
socket when the unit is not being used or when it is
unattended.
Before cleaning or performing any maintenance
work on the unit, disconnect the unit from the mains
power by remove the plug from the electrical socket.
Should the unit no longer be used, after removing
the plug from the socket, it must be made inoperative
by cutting the power cable and disposing of the unit
and the cable. It is also recommended that dangerous
parts, especially for children, be rendered harmless.
Refer to laws in force for information regarding the
disposal of accessories subject to wear. To dispose of
the unit itself, refer to EU law, 2002/96/EC.
Do not use the unit if, after a fall, it shows signs of
damage on any of its parts. When in doubt contact
your Artsana S.p.A dealer or distributor
• In the event of a failure and/or poor operation of the
unit, switch it off, removing the plug from the electri-
cal socket and consult your Artsana S.p.A dealer or
distributor. Do not attempt to open or tamper with
the unit.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. Position the unit horizontally on a flat, stable sur-
face as shown in fig. A.
2. When you use the unit for the first time, clean the
accessories indicated in the section “Cleaning the
unit and accessories”
3. Unscrew the upper part of the phial (13) clockwise
and insert the medicine into the reservoir, respecting
the doses recommended by your doctor or pharma-
cist. Close the phial, screwing it clockwise back in
place (Fig. B);
4. Connect the tube (15) to the phial (Fig. C) and to
the compressed air nozzle (2) (Fig. E.);
5. Connect the phial (13) to the connection (14) and
to the accessory you wish to use for therapy: fork,
mouthpiece, mask for children or adults (Fig D);
6. Plug the unit into an electrical socket;
7. Turn on the unit using the switch(1);
8. Start the inhaling treatment. During therapy the
phial can be rested on its dedicated support (4);
9. Once therapy is complete, switch off the unit and
remove the plug from the electrical socket. Put the
cable back into the dedicated compartment (Fig. F);
10. When the aerosol flow becomes intermittent,
stop treatment for a few seconds to allow the sus-
pended drops of solution to fall on the walls of the
phial. Resume the treatment session, which will be
finished when no more nebulised solution is issued
from the phial;
11. Clean the unit and accessories as indicated below.
CLEANING THE UNIT AND ACCESSORIES
Before cleaning or carrying out maintenance work,
always switch off the unit and remove the plug from
the electrical socket. It is recommended the unit be
cleaned immediately following treatment is com-
plete.
Cleaning and Maintenance of the Unit
Warning! Never immerse or soak the unit in water or
other liquids. For cleaning, use only a clean, dry cloth.
Cleaning and maintenance of the phial and acces-
sories
Completely disassemble and separate all parts of the
phial and soak them in boiling water for about 5 min-
utes. Warning! Only the phial can be boiled.
Rinse all accessories under running water. Use dena-
tured alcohol to disinfect the parts which come into
contact with the patient. Carefully dry all parts and
the unit before storing it. Store the appliance in a
cool, dry place, away from sunlight and heat. Never
use benzene, thinners or any flammable chemical
substance to clean the unit. To ensure greater hygiene
when the unit is used by several people or in case of
professional use (in clinics, hospitals, etc.) or rented
use, each person should use their own kit.

CHECKING AND REPLACING FILTERS
The device is equipped with a filter (3) that protects
the compressor from dust infiltration.
