44 Operación y funcionamiento
Este capítulo incluye algunos consejos importantes acerca de
la operación y el funcionamiento del aparato. Observe dichos
consejos para evitar peligros y daños.
Advertencia
► No deje el aparato sin vigilancia durante el funcionamiento
para poder reaccionar rápidamente ante los peligros.
44.1 Principios de la cocción con microondas
La potencia y el tiempo necesario para cocer/calentar depende,
entre otras variables, de la temperatura final deseada, de la
cantidad, del tipo y del estado de la comida.
Distribuya los alimentos cuidadosamente en el plato. Disponga
los más gruesos en el borde del plato.
Tape la comida mientras se cueza. Así evitará salpicaduras y
ayudará a una cocción/calentamiento más homogénea.
Durante el calentamiento debe girar, remover o revolver el
alimento a calentar varias veces para alcanzar un reparto
homogéneo de la temperatura.
Los posibles gérmenes presentes en el alimento se matan
solamente alcanzando una temperatura suficiente (> 70 °C)
durante un tiempo suficientemente largo (> 10 min).
Pinche o corte los alimentos que tengan peladuras
consistentes, como tomates, salchichas, patatas,
berenjenas, para evitar que el posible vapor que se pueda
producir en su interior no los haga explotar.
Se pueden cocer huevos sin pela en el microondas solo si
previamente se pincha la piel de la yema varias veces. Si no,
la yema podría explotar y salpicar.
Después de transcurrir la mitad del tiempo de cocción, dé la
vuelta a alimentos como albóndigas y desplácelos del medio
hacia los bordes.
