Upper thread tension
Lower thread tension

Basic upper thread tension setting: "4".
To increase the tension, turn the dial to
the next higher number. To reduce the
tension, turn the dial to the next lower
number.
A. Normal thread tension
B. Upper thread tension too loose
C. Upper thread tension too tight

To test the bobbin thread tension, the full
bobbin is placed in the bobbin case. The
bobbin case and gripper are then
suspended by the end of the thread.
If the tension is correct, the thread will
unwind by about 5 to 10cm, when gently
swung and will then remain suspended.
If the full bobbin case unwinds, the tension
is too slack. If the tension is too tight, it
hardly unwinds or does not unwind at all.
To adjust, use the screwdriver.

Pour accroitre la tension, tournez la
molette vers le numéro suivant. Pour
réduire la tension, tournez la molette vers
le numéro précédent.

Pour tester la tension du fil de canette, la
canette entière est placée dans le cache-
coursière. Le boitier de la canette et la
pince sont ensuite suspendus par
l'extrémité du fil.
Si la tension est correcte, le fil se
déroulera d'environ 5 à 10 cm quand il
sera doucement balancé et restera ainsi
suspendu.
Si le boitier de la canette se détend, la
tension est trop lâche. Si la tension est
trop forte, il se déroule difficilement voire
pas du tout.

Om de spanning te verhogen, de knop
draaien tot het volgende hogere cijfer. Om
de spanning te verlagen, de knop draaien
tot het volgende lagere cijfer.

C. Bovendraadspanning te strak (te hoog)

Zo kunt u de spoelspanning testen: plaats
het volle spoeltje in het spoelhuis. Laat het
spoeltje hangen aan het uiteinde van de
draad. Zorg dat de draad goed door de
grijper zit.
Als de spanning goed is, rolt de draad zo'n
5 tot 10 cm af, als u uw hand met de
draad zachtjes beweegt, waarna de spoel
blijft hangen.
Als de spoel blijft afrollen, is de spanning
te laag. Als de spanning te hoog is, rolt de
spoel nauwelijks of helemaal niet af. U
kunt de spanning aanpassen met de
schroevendraaier.
