Adipose tissue mode (body fat)(P16)
The computer calculates you individual health ratios in terms of the percentage fat mass, basic
metabolic rate, body mass index (kg/height squared in metres), and body type.
1 Find the profile of the programme by pressing the Up or Down button (see screen).
2 Press the Enter button for the programmed data (see Programmes)
3 Be sure to connect and use the pulse sensors (see Pulse).
4 Press Start The computer will then calculate the adipose tissue ratio. If the pulse is not correct, and
error message (E) appears. In that event, check the connections, as with those of the pulse, and press
the Start button again.
5 The screen will show your percentage fat mass, your basic metabolic rate (when you are at rest), the body
mass index and the body type (see tables below).

Programmes
5 values can be programmed as training objectives.
A. Time or Distance
B. Energy use (calories)
C. Age
D. Gender, height and weight - in Adipose Tissue mode only (P16)
E. Pulse (BPM) – to set the maximum pulse – in Heart Rate mode only.
1. Press the Enter button. One of the programmes will now blink on the screen.
2. Select the value you wish to set as the objective by pressing the Up or Down button. Not every value needs
to be programmed as an objective. Move to the next category by pressing the Enter button directly after 1.
3. Enter the value you wish to set as your objective by pressing the Enter button.
4. Start your training by pressing Start/Stop or select the next value to be attained (stage 2).
The programmed data will scroll in descending order after you start your training. When a programmed
value has been attained, the computer beeps and ends the training programme.
Age
When programming your age, the computer proposes a maximum heart rate objective. This value appears
on the screen alongside the current pulse figure. If you current heart rate is above the maximum proposed,
this value begins to blink on the screen. You will then have to slow down or reduce the resistance level.
Pulse
The pulse is displayed on the screen in beats per minute (BPM). For optimum pulse detection, make sure
that only one of the pulse receptors is connected to the computer.
Maintain the hand and pulse connections.
Resistance
You can change the resistance at any time by pressing the Up or Down button.
Rest
If you wish to have a rest, press the Start/Stop button. STOP will appear on the screen.
Please consult your doctor in order to ascertain your maximum heart rate.
Cardio – Training:
Before programming your training, it is essential to take account of your age, particularly for people of
more than 35 years of age, as well as your physical condition. If you have a sedentary lifestyle
without regular physical activity, it is vital that you consult your doctor to determine the level of
