Troubleshooting
This section contains information about solving problems with the camera head. For information about troubleshooting
problems with the IP controller or web setup tool, refer to the CR-G100 instruction manual.
The ALARM indicator (A 12) illuminates.
The system switched to alarm status because the camera heads internal temperature is too high. Turn off the robotic
camera system and wait until the temperature decreases to turn the system on again.
If that does not solve the situation, there may be a problem with the system. Consult a Canon sales representative.
The robotic camera system will not start.
Even if the power switch is set to ON, the STATUS indicator does not illuminate.
The external AC adapter may not be plugged in all the way into the DC IN 24V terminal. Turn off the system and
make sure the AC adapter is properly connected (A 36).
The camera head is not responding.
Check the connection status of all the devices in the Status screen of the web setup tool.
If the camera head is not recognized, check the connections between the camera head and IP controller
(A 35).
The camera head is not turning in the correct direction.
In the web setup tool, [Underslung mode] is not activated.
The system emits a strange sound outside the motion range.
Last time the camera head was used, the homing procedure was not performed using the web setup tool before
the system was turned off. Perform the homing procedure using the web setup tool.
The lens used was not selected on the web setup tool after the initial installation or after replacing the lens. Refer
to the CR-G100 instruction manual and select the lens used in the Robotic Camera Head Settings menu.
Motion range settings are ignored.
When adjusting the motion range limits in the web setup tool, you may not have clicked the [Save] button so the
new values were not correctly saved. Set the motion range limits again and click the [Save] button.
