4 Installation Testing the Operation Post-Installation
46
Installing the System
1. Fix the camera head in place at the shooting location.
Secure it in place using the screw holes at the bottom of the camera head and commercially available hex head
bolts (M8, x4), or using the base plate and commercially available clamps or bolts.
2. Connect a network and power source to the camera head at the shooting location (A 36).
Do not install the camera head at an inclination. Whether using the upright or underslung position, make
sure the surface where the camera is installed is perfectly level.
Verify the camera heads rotation range (A 48) and make sure the Canon logo on the base unit is aligned
with the center of the camera heads pan motion range.
Even when using the base plate, make sure to use clamps and bolts as necessary to firmly secure the system.
Testing the Operation Post-Installation
After installing the system at the shooting location, verify again all the points described in Checking the System (A 38)
in the previous chapter.
Removing the Camera Head
1. Perform the ending sequence using the web setup tool.
Complete the homing procedure and then turn off the camera head and connected devices.
2. Make sure all the equipment has safety measures and take the necessary precautions if necessary.
3. Remove the camera head from the shooting location and place it on a table working surface.
4. Remove the camera unit from the camera head (A 42).
5. Remove the main capture camera from the camera unit (A 43).
