5. Commissioning
Handover to operator
5.1 Before commissioning:
The installer must compile detailed operating and
servicing instructions for the entire system. The Profi W
heating insert must be commissioned by the installer. This
is generally the tile stove installer and central heating
installer jointly.
5.2 Commissioning:
The installation, adjustment and functioning of all system
components, in particular the control and safety organs,
must be subjected to renewed inspected. The operator(s)
must be given detailed instructions on the system's
functioning, operation and servicing, e.g. boiler stove and
safety devices and regulations in particular.
Allow the operator to actively participate in the commis-
sioning process, describe procedures carefully and in
detail, have the operator repeat important details until
completely at familiarised with the system.
5.3 Handover to operator
When complete, hand over:
Operating and servicing instructions for the entire
system (Point 5.1).
Schmid Profi W heating insert installation and operating
instructions.
Additional documentation, e.g. control system,
circulation pump, thermal discharge safety device, etc.
5.4 Handover log:
Compile a handover log and separately list all documents
handed over in it.

6.1 Preface:
The operating instructions must be readily available to the
system operator and the system operator must be aware of
the contents of the operating instructions (product safety
act!).
6.2 Pre-commissioning inspections:
The flow pressure in the thermal discharge safety
device/safety heat exchanger's cold water inlet must be at
least 2 bar betragen. Correct functioning must be checked
on commissioning and at least once annually!
The safety heat exchanger outlet pipe must be able to
drain freely.
The heating circuit must be completely filled with water
and be vented.
A voltage must be present at the circulation pump
thermostat.

7.1 Servicing:
In case of falling heating capacity, draught problems,
smoke egress, etc., but always at the end of the heating
season, thoroughly clean the heating insert, fire tube, fuel
gas passes, etc. It is recommended that this work be
carried out by the stove system installer or other suitable
specialist. This is because fire tubes may need to be
removed, sealed connections broken or cleaning covers
refitted to ceramic fuel gas passes.
Recommendation:
Have the operator sign the log to confirm that they
have received all the documents listed and that they
are completely familiar with the system.

7. Servicing and shut-downs
Warning:
The tile stove may only be heated if the above
conditions are met.

Regular inspections and servicing of heat generation
systems guarantees safe, fault-free and environ-
mentally friendly operation.
We therefore urgently recommend carrying out
servicing at least once annually.
For example, leaks around fire tubes, connectors, etc.,
lead to increased soot deposits, heating-up and draught
problems, escaping fumes or condensation, especially
during the transition periods. The boiler stove should also
be thoroughly cleaned.
7.2 Shut-downs:
In order to prevent corrosion the boiler stove should be
cleaned before extended shut-down periods (Point 5.2).
Do not drain the heating circuit water (corrosion, scale
formation)!
7.3 Pre-heating season:
Thermal discharge safety device functional inspection by a
specialist at least once annually and repair if necessary.
Vent heating system and boiler stove, top up water if
necessary, inspect for leaks. Inspect outlets (e.g. for
thermal discharge safety device) for free drainage
Combustion air:
Outside air connection variable
for either right or left side
Fuel gas channel:
Several options are available
from the top, right or left
