ST A TION SELECTION
Press up or down button (20) shortly to activate automatic seek function. Pr ess for 2
seconds until “ MANUAL ” appeared on the display , the manual tuning
Mode is selected. If the buttons ar e not touched for more then 3 seconds it
automatic goes back to “AUT O SEEK”
AUTOST ORE AS
-Automatic Memory Storing
Press func button (10) “AS/PS” longer then three seconds , activate AS. The radio sear ches
for the 6 str ongest stations and stores them into the pr eset of the currentl y selected band.
NO TE: An y stations that wer e pre viously stored in this memory bank are replaced b y
a new station.
PRESET SCAN PS
Press func button (10) “AS/PS” for less then three seconds. The unit will pause f or ten
seconds at each preset station. Pr ess button (10) “AS/PS” again to stop scanning when
the desired station is r eached.
Station store and r ecall
Press an y one of the preset buttons (12 to 17) to recall a station which had been
stored in the memory . Pr ess a pr eset button for 2 seconds, pr evious preset station is
overwritten by curr ent tuned frequency .
RDS (RADIO D A T A SY STEM) OPERA TIONS
The RDS data are the PI, PS,TP , PTY , T A and AF data.
PI: Pr ogram indentification code
Code for identifying program
PS: Pr ogram service name
Broadcast station name data expr essed
In alphanumerically character
TP: T raffic pr ogram identification
Identification data for traffic information br oadcasting station
TA:Traffic announcement identification
Identification data showing traffic information is being transmitted or not
AF: Alternative frequencies
Frequency list of br oadcasting station transmitting the same program
SETTING AF MODE
Press button (3) AF for less then three seconds to select AF to be ON or OFF
Whenever AF is switched on, symbol “AF” appears on the displa y .
The tuner will return to Alternative Fr equencies whenever the r eception signals
getting worse. “ALARM” will be display ed when an emergency broadcasting is
receiv ed;meanwhile sound output level will be adjusted to the pr eset output lev el
automatically when the volume contr ol is set at minimum.
USING PTY T O SELECT PROGRAM
The PTY function allows you to sear ch for stations with a particular program type.
To select y our program type, pr ess the button (5) “PTY” less then three seconds.
Displa y will show: “pop music” or “news. Now y ou can select the music type or
speech type using preset k eys 1 to 6 for y our selection as listed table:

While selecting PTY engagement, its selection is implemented by pr eset button as
described in notes. When PTY is selected, the radio starts to sear ch corresponding
PTY information is detected. If cor responding PTY information is not found, normal
radio reception is r esumed. After the text “NON PTY” is at the display for 5 seconds.
LISTENING T O TRAFFIC ANNOUNCEMENT (T A)
Traffic announcement can interrupt CD pla y or radio listening when broadcast.
Briefly press the button (4) “T A” to select the T A mode on or off. When T A mode is
on, y ou will hear the traffic announcement when broadcast. During traffic
announcement,you can interrupt it b y short press of T A button (4). Without
switching off the T A mode. By doing so, the set will return to the pr evious operating
mode. Long press on T A button(4) allows ON/OFF selection of EONT A
LOCAL/EONT A DX
EONT A LOC AL will onl y allow traffic announcement fr om strong station to come thr ough.
EONT A DX selection will allow all received announcements to inter rupt CD play or
radio listening.
DU AL ZONE OPERA TION
This unit is equipped with the advance feature “Dual zone”. This function is useful if
the user want to select different modes of the audio output sour ce for Fr ont and
Rear speakers. The details operation as f ollow;
ON/ OFF OPERA TION
• “Off ” is the default setting.
• Short press the “2-zone” button on the control pannel or r emote control to switch
between Dual zone on or off. The “2-zone” icon will appear on the LCD after Dual
Zone is selected “on”.
TO SELECT FR ONT/ REAR SOURCES
• Once “on” is selected, short press the “AUDIO” button repeatedl y to change
between the F-zone (fr ont) and the R-zone (rear) sour ces.
• If fr ont zone “F-zone” is selected, user has 10 seconds ot navigate thr ough differ ent
modes by using the volume button.

INTER AMPLIFIER ON/OFF (INTER AMP)
This is an option selection for users to turn the unit’ s built in Amplifier system on or
off. The default is “off ”, this is useful f or users if an external amplifier is connected and
you don’ t want audio output of the built in amplifier system.
PROGRAMMABLE TURN-ON V OLUME (V OL PGM)
This option allows selection of the volume le vel, the radio will automaticall y assume
when turning on. “V ol PGM 12” is the default setting, which will turn on the radio at
the volume lev el as adjust in the VOL PGM. T o program a specific turn on volume
level, use the volume control button to select “V olume Level” within 5 seconds.
BEEP T ONE
The beep tone feature allo ws the selection of an audible beep tone when a button is
pressed. “Beep tone on” is the default setting. Use the v olume up/down button to
select the “Beep tone off ” option.
AUDIO OPERA TIONS
Press the button (8) “AUDIO” to enter the sound set up . Pr ess button (8) “AUDIO”
momentarily to mov e forward to the next option. T he menu can also be na vigated by
using the buttons (20) T uning Up or T uning Down to move to the next or pr evious
option. Once the desir ed option appears on the displa y , adjust that option by rotating
the volume contr ol within 5 seconds. The follo wing options can be adjusted:
V OLUME
To incr ease the volume r otate the volume knob (8) clockwise, to decr ease the volume
rotate the v olume knob counterclockwise.
SUBW OOFER (SUBW OOFER LEVEL)
Rotate the volume knob (8) to select the desir ed volume lev el from “00” to “12”.
NO TE:The subw oofer lev el control will onl y appear in the Audio Menu if the
“Subwoofer” function is activated and a subw oofer speak er is connected.
Press button (3) “SUB-W” to activate the subwoofer function. Pr ess again to turn off.
SUB-W LPF (SUBW OOFER LO W P ASS FIL TER)
Rotate the volume knob (8) to select the desir ed Low Pass Filter function: Flat, 80Hz,
120Hz or 160Hz.
NO TE :The subwoofer le vel contr ol will only appear in the Audio Menu if the
“Subwoofer” function is activated and a subw oofer speak er is connected.
IX-BASS (IX-BASS LEVEL)
Rotate the volume knob (8) to select the desir ed Bass Boost function: lo w , mid or high.
NO TE :The iX-Bass function will only appear in the Audio Menu if the “iX-Bass”
function is activated. Pr ess button (5) “IX-B ASS” to activate the iX-Bass function.
Press again to turn off.
BASS (BASS LEVEL)
Rotate the volume know (8) to select the desir ed Bass lev el from “-6” to “+6”.
BASS-CFQ (BASS CENTER FREQUENCY)
Rotate the volume knob (8)
to select the desired Bass
center Frequency to 60Hz,
80Hz, 100Hz or 200Hz.
BASS-Q (BASS Q F A CT OR)
Rotate the volume knob (8)
to select the desired Bass-Q
Factor to 2N, 1N, 1W or
2W .
MIDDLE (MIDDLE LEVEL)

Rotate the volume knob (8) to select the desir ed T reble le vel fr om “-6” to “+6”.
TRE-CFQ (TREBLE CENTER FREQUENCY)
Rotate the volume knob (8) to select the desir ed T reble center Fr equency to 10KHz,
12.5KHz, 15KHz or 17.5KHz.
BALANCE
Rotate the volume knob (8) to adjust the Balance betw een the right and left speakers
from R12 (full right) to L12 (full left).
F ADER
Rotate the volume knob (8) to adjust the Fader betw een the front and r ear speakers
from R12 (full r ear) to F12 (full front).

BAND SELECTION
At tuner mode, press button (19) “BAND” shor tl y to select the desir ed band. The
reception band will change in the follo wing order: FM1, FM2, FM3 and MW
