3. Advarsel
Undgå opvarmning af en tom perkolator, det kan få den til at koge tør.
3.1 Kaffen bliver ved at være varm, så længe ledningen er sat i
stikkontakten.
3.2 Tag altid stigerøret og kaffetragten ud af perkolatoren, inden kold
kaffe opvarmes.
3.3 Træk apparatets stik ud efter brug.
4. Pleje og rengøring
Træk altid perkolatorens stik ud, inden apparatet skal gøres ren. Nedsænk aldrig
perkolatoren, sokkelpladen eller ledningen i vand eller anden væske. Brug ikke
opvaskemaskine til at rengøre delene.
4.1 Gør altid perkolatoren ren efter brug. Selv små mængder
kaffegrums kan forringe kaffens smag ved næste brygning.
4.2 Gør stigerøret og pakningen i bunden af røret grundigt ren.
Pakningen skal kunne bevæge sig frit.
4.3 Rengør kaffetragten og låget grundigt for kaffegrums.
4.4
Varmeelementet (forsænket) og møtrikken i bunden indvendig skal
gøres rent regelmæssigt. Kalkaflejringer kan påvirke termostaten, hvilket
kan medføre, at perkolatoren automatisk tændes og slukkes for hurtigt.
4.5
Rengør ydersiden med en fugtig klud. Brug ikke kemiske
rengøringsmidler.
5. Afkalkning
5.1 Vore små perkolatorer skal fyldes med 4,5 kop vand, og de store
med 7,5 kop vand. Sæt stigerøret og kaffetragten i perkolatoren.
5.2
Lad vandet koge i 5 minutter, så maskinen bliver gennemvarm.
5.3 Tag perkolatorens stik ud.
5.4
Tilfør afkalkningsmiddel og lad det stå i 6 timer. Doseringen af
afkalkningsmidlet skal følge instrukserne på afkalkningsmidlets pakke.
5.5 Tøm perkolatoren og skyld grundigt efter.
5.6
Fyld perkolatoren op med vand og lad det koge, med stigerøret og
kaffetragten på plads, indtil lampen lyser.
5.7 Sluk for perkolatoren og tag stikket ud. Hæld vandet fra.
