Inserting the batteries
• Press the button (A) and pull the retaining clip (4) back to unlock the battery compartment.
• Open the battery cover (5).
• Insert the batteries while observing plus and minus pole orientation, and close the battery cover (5).
• Always replace both batteries at a time.
• Remove the batteries before putting away your rangefinder for a prolonged period without use. Risk of
leakage!
Warning: Never dispose of used batteries with household waste. Always observe local regulations for
appropriate battery disposal.
Switching on
Press and hold the on/off button (17) for about three seconds to switch on your distancemeter.
The rangefinder will switch off automatically after three minutes.
Setting the reference plane
Press button (16) to switch reference planes.
The display (2) will show the currently selected reference plane (7/8).
The reference plane is always the BACK (8) of the unit when you switch it on.
Simple distance measurement
1. Press and hold the on/off button (17) for about three seconds.
2. Press the measurement button (14) to activate the laser
3. Press the measurement button (14) again shortly, and the distance from the reference plane selected will
appear on the bottom line of the display.
4. Up to three measurement values will appear in the upper lines of the display in subsequent measurements.
Continuous measurement
1. Press and hold the measure button (14) and run the laser beam through a point, such as the corner of the
room, while keeping the distancemeter height constant.
2. The upper two lines of the display will show the maximum and
minimum value.
3. The last measured value will be displayed in the bottom line of the
display.
4. Press the measuring button (14) again or the delete button (17) to
switch off continuous measurement.
Area calculation
1. Press button (15); a trapezoid symbol will appear in the display.
2. Briefly press the measurement button (14) to measure the first
distance, such as the length. The measured value will be displayed in
the top line of the display.
3. Briefly press the measurement button (14) again to measure the
second distance, such as the width. The measured value will be
displayed in the second line of the display.
4. The perimeter calculated will appear in the third line of the display.
5. The area calculated will appear in the fourth line of the display.
