Faites une entaille d’environ 20 mm (env. 3/4

Placez le tissu de façon à ce que le côté droit
de l’entaille soit au-dessus de la plaque du
guide et le côté gauche sous le pied-de-biche.

Enfilez l’aiguille manuellement et faites sortir
un long morceau du fil supérieur. Faites-le
passer sous le pied-de-biche et sortez-le dans
la direction d’entraînement du tissu.

Commencez à coudre.
Un rabat est coupé pendant la couture.

La marge de couture devrait mesurer environ 5 mm
(environ 3/16 pouces.)

Remarque
Si la largeur a été modifiée, tournez le volant
manuellement pour vous assurer que l’aiguille ne
touche pas le couteau raseur. Si l’aiguille touche le
couteau raseur, elle risque de se casser.
Mémo
Le tissu ne sera pas coupé s’il est entraîné sous la
plaque de guidage du pied-de-biche. Placez le tissu
comme expliqué à l’étape f de la section
précédente, puis commencez à coudre.
Il est possible de couper une couche de denim de
13 onces (environ 370g.)
Nettoyez le coupe-fil de côté après son utilisation
pour éviter que de la poussière et des fragments de
fils s’y accumulent.
Ajoutez un peu d’huile sur le bord tranchant du
coupe-fil.
