Lower (bobbin) Threading

Turn power switch to “O”.

1. Raise the needle to its highest position by turning the balance wheel

toward you (counterclockwise) and raise the presser foot lever.

2. Open the shuttle cover behind the extension table on the front of

the machine and remove the bobbin case by pulling its latch to-

ward you and pulling it out from the shuttle race (fig. A).

3. Unwind about 10 cm (4") of thread from a full bobbin and insert

the bobbin into the bobbin case. (See fig. B-1.) Pull the trailing

thread into the slot, then down and to the left, as shown in fig. B-2,

until it enters the delivery eye under the tension spring (fig. B-3).

Holding the bobbin case by the latch, fully insert the bobbin case

into the shuttle race and release the latch. Make sure the bobbin

case finger fits into the notch at the top of the race as shown in fig. C.

NOTE:

If the bobbin case is not properly placed back into the machine, it will

fall out from the shuttle immediately after starting to sew.

Mise en place du fil inférieur (canette)

Mettre l’interrupteur principal sur “O”.

1. Remonter complètement l’aiguille en tournant le volant vers soi

(dans le sens contraire des aiguilles d’une montre) et remonter le

levier du pied-de-biche.

Ouvrir le couvercle de la navette situé à l’arrière de la table d’exten-

sion, à l’avant de la machine, et retirer le boîtier de la canette en tirant

sur le loquet métallique vers soi pour le sortir de la coursière (fig. A).

Dévider environ 10 cm de fil d’une canette pleine et introduire la ca-

nette dans son boîtier. (Voir fig. B-1.) Faire passer le fil dépassant dans la

fente, puis en bas et vers la gauche, comme l’indique la fig. B-2, jusqu’à

ce qu’il arrive dans l’orifice de sortie sous le ressort tendeur.(fig. B-3).

En tenant le boîtier de la canette par le loquet, introduire complète-

ment le boîtier de la canette dans la coursière et relâcher le loquet.

Veiller à ce que la languette du boîtier de la canette s’introduise bien

dans l’encoche en haut de la coursière comme l’indique la fig. C.

REMARQUE :

Si le boîtier de la canette n’est pas correctement en place dans la ma-

chine, il sortira de la navette dès le commencement de la couture.

1. Levante la aguja a su posición más alta girando la ruedecilla ha-

cia usted (en sentido contrario al de las manecillas de un reloj) y

levante la palanca del prensatelas.

2. Abra la tapa de la lanzadera situada detrás del soporte para ac-

cesorios, en la parte delantera de la máquina, y retire el

portacanillas de la máquina tirando del pestillo hacia usted y sa-

cándola de la lanzadera (Ver fig. A).

3. Tire unos 10 cm (4") de hilo de una canilla llena e inserte la cani-

lla en el portacanillas. (Ver fig. B-1.) Tire del hilo suelto y páselo

por la hendidura, abajo y hacia la izquierda, tal como se indica en

la fig. B-2, hasta que el hilo pase por la abertura de salida debajo

del resorte de tensión. (fig. B-3).

4. Sujete el portacanillas por el pestillo, introdúzcalo completamen-

te en la lanzadera y suelte el pestillo. Asegúrese de que la uñeta

metálica del portacanillas encaje en la hendidura en la parte su-

perior de la anilla tal como se indica en la fig. C.

NOTA:

Si el portacanillas no se encuentra bien colocado en la máquina, se

saldrá de la lanzadera inmediatamente después de empezar a coser.

Gire o interruptor de força até “O”.

1. Eleve a agulha até a sua posição mais alta, rodando o volante em direção

a você (sentido anti-horário) e levante a alavanca do pé calcador.

2. Abra a cobertura da lançadeira, atrás da mesa de extensão, para frente

da máquina, e remova a caixa de bobina, puxando a trava em sua direção

e removendo-a da ranhura-guia (fig. A).

3. Desenrole cerca de 10 cm (4") da linha de uma bobina cheia e insira a

bobina dentro da sua caixa. (Veja fig. B-1.) Puxe a ponta de linha solta

por dentro da abertura e então para baixo e esquerda, tal como mostra a

fig. B-2, até passar pelo furo de saída sob a molinha tensora (fig. B-3).

4. Segurando a caixa de bobina pela trava, insira-a totalmente dentro da

ranhura-guia da lançadeira e solte a trava. Certifique-se de que a lingue-

ta da caixa de bobina se encaixa no entalhe no topo da ranhura-guia,

conforme mostra a fig. C.

NOTA:

Se a caixa de bobina não for adequadamente recolocada dentro da máquina,

a mesma cairá para fora da lançadeira imediatamente após o início da cos-

tura.
