Elección del manguito adecuado
Para realizar una medición exacta, es importante escoger el manguito del tamaño correcto, que mejor
se adapte a la parte superior de su brazo. Seleccione el manguito de acuerdo con la circunferencia de
su brazo y asegúrese de que la parte inferior del manguito está 2~3 cm por encima del codo.
• Manguito pequeño/mediano = contorno de brazo de 22~32 cm
• Manguito grande/muy grande = contorno de brazo de 32~42 cm
Colocación del manguito en el brazo
1. Deslice el extremo del manguito lejos del tubo por el aro metálico hasta formar un bucle.
La parte suave debe estar en el interior del manguito.
2. Conecte el tubo de aire al conector (Fig. 4).
3. El manguito está colocado correctamente cuando el velcro se encuentra en la parte exterior y el
aro de metal no hace contacto con la piel (Fig. 5).
4. Introduzca el brazo izquierdo a través del bucle formado por el manguito. La parte inferior
del manguito deberá situarse a unos 2~3 cm por encima del codo. El tubo debe reposar sobre
la arteria branquial en la cara parte interna del brazo (Fig. 6).
5. Tire del manguito hasta apretarlo bien alrededor del brazo (Fig. 7).
6. Cuando se haya colocado correctamente, presione rmemente el Velcro contra la parte de felpa
del manguito.
7. El manguito estará listo para usar si la marca <<index>> queda entre el <<rango de ok>> indicado
con dos echas cuando se ajusta alrededor del brazo (Fig. 8).
8. Siéntese en una silla y coloque el brazo sobre la mesa de manera que el manguito quede a nivel
del corazón (Fig. 9).
