La presión arterial medida en un consultorio médico nos
proporciona un valor momentáneo. La repetición de la
monitorización en el hogar refleja mejor el propio valor de
la presión arterial.
Mucha gente tiene una diferente presión arterial cuando
se mide en casa, porque tienden a estar más relajados que
cuando acuden a la consulta médica.
Una medición regular de la presión arterial en casa puede
proporcionar a su doctor una información muy valiosa acerca
de sus valores diarios.
La Organización Mundial para la Salud (OMS) ha establecido
las siguientes medidas estándares para la presión arterial,
cuando ésta se mide con el pulso en estado de reposo.

Mantenga el producto y las baterías lejos de los niños.
• Las personas que padecen arritmias cardiacas, constricciones vascu-
lares, arteriosclerosis en las extremidades, diabetes o con marcapasos

arterial, ya que puede ocurrir que haya desviaciones en la medición de
la presión arterial en dichos casos.
• Si está bajo tratamiento médico o consumiendo medicamentos,
por favor, consulte con su médico en caso de duda.
• El uso de este medidor de la presión arterial no es un sustituto de la
consulta médica con su especialista o médico de cabecera.
