Si es posible, apague todas las fuentes de monóxido de carbono (chimeneas o es-
tufas de gas) y abandone lo antes posible el edicio.
No acceda a la zona afectada antes de haberla venlado a fondo y hasta que el
valor de CO haya disminuido a un nivel seguro y la alarma del detector de CO se
haya apagado.
Póngase en contacto con un especialista y deje que revise y, si procede, lo que ha
causado en cuesón antes de volver a ponerlo en funcionamiento.
Con concentraciones muy elevadas de CO y si no es posible determinar el origen,
debería salir al exterior inmediatamente y avisar a los vecinos. Llame de inmediato
a los bomberos o equipos de rescate y siga sus instrucciones.
10. Mantenimiento
Siempre que lo cuide debidamente, el detector de monóxido de carbono le avisa
de posibles concentraciones de CO peligrosas en su hogar.
Para mantener el detector en perfecto estado, le recomendamos:
• Pruébelo al menos una vez al mes pulsando el botón "Test/Hush".
• Elimine el polvo que pudiera acumularse con regularidad. No ulice para ello
un paño muy mojado. Limpie el aparato con cuidado con un paño húmedo.
• No ulice soluciones limpiadoras.
• No pinte la alarma.
