The hand blender can be used by pointing it
downward. (See Fig. 5)
Warning: Do not run the hand blender for more than
1 minute at one time. After having used the mixer
for 1 minute, it will have to cool down for 3 minutes
before it can be used again.
MIX AND BLEND TABLE
The table below contains suggested speeds and
mixing tasks. These can be adjusted according to
personal preference.
Speed Mix tasks
1Stirring/mixing. Use this speed for mixing
ingredients such as coconut, chocolate
chips, nuts and cheese.
2Use this speed for mixing dry ingredients
into wet ingredients, such as cake and
pancake batters.
3Use this speed for mixing heavy mixtures
such as biscuit dough, potato purée and
muffins.
4Use this speed for mixing butter and
sugar. This position can also be used for
preparing soft glazing.
5Use this speed for whipping cream,
meringues and egg white.
TURBO If you want to give the mixer a short
boost, you can push the turbo button from
any speed position.
Do not use the TURBO function for longer than 3
minutes continuously and let the mixer cool down
after use. Always start at a low speed and steadily
increase speed as necessary.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Note: To prevent electric shock, never immerse the
appliance in water or any other liquid.
Make sure to switch off the mixer and remove the
plug from the electricity socket before cleaning
the appliance.
The whisks and dough hooks are dishwasher-
safe.
The hand blender attachment is not suitable
for washing in the dishwasher. It should be
cleaned with hot, soapy water. Make sure to dry
it properly.
The casing of the mixer should be cleaned with a
damp cloth.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: When you switch off the mixer you
must wait until the motor has stopped running
entirely. Do not touch any of the parts, including
the hand blender attachment, while they are still
moving.
Switch off the mixer and remove the plug from
the wall socket in the event of malfunction during
use, before cleaning the mixer, and after use.
Keep long hair, scarves, jewelry and loose
clothing away from the mixer during use to
prevent them from getting caught up; this applies
equally to cutlery and other kitchen utensils
Also keep your hands out of the way of the
rotating beaters.
Keep the vents free.
With certain processes, the beaters can heat
up through friction. Bear this in mind when
removing them.
WASTE DISPOSAL
Electrical appliances, accessories and their
packaging must be reused as much as possible in
an environmentally sound manner. Do not dispose of
these items together with your normal rubbish. Only

Guideline on the disposal of old electric and
electronic appliances, the appliances that are no
longer used must be collected and recycled in an
environmentally sound manner.

conditions, these shall receive priority over general
