The specifications apply to a rated voltage [U] of 230 V. These spe-
cifications may vary at different voltages and in country-specific mod-
els.
Noise/Vibration Information
Noise emission values determined according
toEN60745‑2‑16.
Typically, the A-weighted noise level of the power tool is:
Sound pressure level84dB(A); sound power
level95dB(A). Uncertainty K=3dB.
Wear hearing protection!
Vibration total values ah (triax vector sum) and uncertainty K
determined according to EN60745‑2‑16:
ah=7.5m/s2, K=1.5m/s2.
The vibration level given in these instructions has been
measured in accordance with a standardised measuring pro-
cedure and may be used to compare power tools. It can also
be used for a preliminary estimation of exposure to vibra-
tion.
The stated vibration level applies to the main applications of
the power tool. However, if the power tool is used for differ-
ent applications, with different application tools or poorly
maintained, the vibration level may differ. This can signific-
antly increase the exposure to vibration over the total work-
ing period.
To estimate the exposure to vibration accurately, the times
when the tool is switched off or when it is running but not ac-
tually being used should also be taken into account. This can
significantly reduce the exposure to vibration over the total
working period.
Implement additional safety measures to protect the oper-
ator from the effects of vibration, such as servicing the
power tool and application tools, keeping the hands warm,
and organising workflows correctly.
Assembly
uPull the plug out of the socket before carrying out any
work on the power tool.
Loading the Magazine (seefiguresA1–A2)
uUse only original Bosch accessories. The precision
parts of the tacker, such as the magazine, striker and shot
duct, are matched toBosch staples and nails. Other man-
ufacturers use different steel grades and sizes.
Turn the power tool around.
Press the magazine release(6) and pull the magazine(9)
out of the back of the tool at the same time.
Insert the staple strip(8) or nail strip(10).
When inserting the nail strip(10), hold the tacker slightly
at an angle so that the nails lie flat on the side wall.
Slide the magazine(9) back in until it clicks into place.
uDo not use force when opening, loading or closing the
magazine.
Operation
Starting Operation
uPay attention to the mains voltage. The voltage of the
power source must match the voltage specified on the
rating plate of the power tool. Power tools marked
with 230V can also be operated with 220V.
The trigger lock, which is connected to the movable tacker
head(1), prevents the unintended release of a staple when
the trigger(4) is pressed accidentally.
Switching On and Off (Single Actuation)
First, firmly place the tacker head(1) against the work-
piece until it is pushed in to the material by a few milli-
metres. Afterwards, briefly press the trigger(4) and re-
lease it again.
Switching On and Off (Contact Actuation)
Press and hold the trigger(4) to work more quickly.
Press the tacker head(1) firmly onto the workpiece until
the staple is released. Move the tacker to the next posi-
tion and press the tacker head(1) firmly onto the work-
piece once more.
DuoTac Automatic
The DuoTac automatic uses two staples at the same time.
The double staple thickness increases the tear strength of
thin materials, such as fabrics or foils.
The DuoTac function is not possible when processing nails.
Slide the selector switch for the DuoTac automatic(2)
upwards to use two staples at the same time.
Slide the selector switch for the DuoTac automatic(2)
downwards to use one staple or one nail.
