12 | English
D o not point the tool towards yourself or anyo ne
nearby. Unexpected triggering will discharge the fas-
tener causing an injury.
D o not actuate the tool unless the tool is placed firm-
ly against the workpiece. If the to ol is not in cont act
with the workpiece, the fastener may be deflected away
from your target.
D isconnect the tool from the power source when the
fastener jams in the tool. While removing a jammed
fastener, the tacker may be accidentally activated if it is
plugged in.
Us e caution while removing a jammed fastener. The
mechanism may be under compr ession and the fasten-
er may be forcefully discharg ed while attempting to free
a jammed condition.
D o not use this tac ker for fastening electrical cables.
It is not designed for electric cable installation and may
damage the insulation of electric cables thereby causing
electric sho ck or fire hazards.
Use appr opriate detectors to determine if utility
lines are hidden in the work area or call the local util-
ity company for ass istance. Contact with electric lines
can lead to fire and electric shock. Damaging a gas line
can lead to explosion. Penetrating a water l ine causes
property dama ge.
Obs erve the conditi ons of the job site. It is possible
that fasteners can burst thr ough thin workpieces or be
deflected when working in corners or against edges,
and harm persons.
Whe n w o r k i n g , ho l d t h e p o w e r t oo l i n s u c h a m a n ne r
that your head and body cannot be injured in case of
sudden ki ckback due t o a malfunction of the energy
supply or fro m hard objects/loca tions in the work-
piece.
D o not open the battery. Danger of short-circuitin g.
Protect the battery against heat, e. g.,
against continuous intense sunlight, fire,
water, and moisture. Danger of explosio n.
I n case of damage and improper use of the battery,
vapours may be emitted. Ventilate the area and seek
medical hel p in case of complai nts. The vapours can
irritate the respiratory system.
Use the battery only in conjunction with your Bosch
power tool. This measure alone prot ects the battery
against dangerous over load.
Us e only original Bosch batteries with the voltage
listed on the nameplate of your power tool. When us-
ing other batteries, e. g. imitations, reconditioned b at-
teries or other brands , there is danger of injury as we ll
as property damage through exploding b atteries.
Product Description and Specifica-
tions
Read all safety warnings and all instr uc-
tions. Failure to follow the warnings and in-
structions may result in electric shock, fire
and/or serious injury.
Intended Use
The power tool is intended for connecting work in roofing,
encasing, battening, ma nufacturing wall and ceiling ele-
ments, wood facades, pallets, wood fences, n oise-reduc -
tion walls and boxes.
Only the fasteners (n ails, staples, etc.) specified in table
“Technical Data ” may be used.

Technical Data
Noise/Vibration Infor mation
Measured sound values determined according to
EN 60745.
Typically the A-weighted noise levels of the product are:
Sound pressure level 91 dB(A); Sound power level
102 dB(A). Uncertainty K = 3 dB.
Wear hearing protec tion!
Vibration total val ues a
h
and uncert ainty K determined ac -
cording to EN 60745:a

, K = 1.5 m/s

.
The vibration emission level given in this information sheet
has been measured in ac cordance with a standardised test
given in EN 60745 and may b e used to compare one tool
with another. It may be used for a preliminary assessment
of exposure.
The declared vibration emission level represents th e main
applications of the tool. However if the tool is used for dif-
ferent applications, with different accessories or poorly
maintained, the vibration e mission may differ. T his may
significantly increase the exposure level over the to tal
working period.
An estimation of the level of exposure to vibration should
also take into account the times when the tool is switched
off or when it is running but not actually doing the job. This
may significantly reduce the exposure level over the total
working period.
Identify add itional safety measures to protect the oper ator
from the effects of vibration such as : maintain the tool and
the accessories, keep hands warm, organise work pat-
terns.

Assembly
Battery Charging
Use only the b attery chargers listed on the graphics
page. Only these battery chargers are matched to the
lithium ion battery used in your machine.
Note: The battery is supplied part ially charged. To ensure
full capacity of the battery, completely charge the battery
in the batter y charger before using your power tool for the
first time.
The Lithium-Ion battery can be charge d at any time without
reducing its service life. Interrupting the charging proce-
dure does not damage the battery.
The “Electronic Cell Protection (ECP)” protects the lithium
ion battery against deep discharging. When the battery is
discharged, the power tool is switche d off by a protective
circuit: Fasteners can no longer be shot.
After the automatic shut-off of the
power tool, do not continue to press
the trigger. The batter y could become damage d.
The battery is equippe d with a NTC temperature control
which allows charging only within a tem perature range of
between 0 ° C and 45 ° C . A long battery ser vice life is
achieved in this manner.
Observe the notes for d isposal.
Removing the battery (see figure A)
The battery 8 has two locking levels, which are supposed
to prevent the battery from falling out in case of vibrations
from intensi ve use.
– P ress battery unlocking button 7 (1.) and at the sa me
time push the battery toward the front.
– P ress the batter y unlocking button 7 (2.) again and pull
the batter y out comple tely, toward the rear.
Loading the M agazine (see figure s B1 – B4)
Block the actuation system an d remove
the battery before making any adjust-
ments, changing accessori es, or placing
the power tool aside. This safety me asure
prevents accidental starting of the power
tool.
Use only original Bosch accessories (see “Technical
Data”). The precision parts of the power tool, such as
the magazine, the outlet and the shot duct, are matched
to Bosch staples, nails and brads. Ot her manufacturer s
use other steel qualities and siz es.
Using fasteners not permitted can dama ge the power
tool and cause injuries.
While loading the magazine, hold the power tool in such a
manner that the outlet 15 is not pointed at your own body
or at other persons.
– C lean the magazine slider 13 as required and make sure
that the magazine 12 is not dirty/soiled.
– Insert a fitting nail strip 16 in the T-slot at the end of the
magazine 12 .
– Push the nail strip in t he magazine to ward the fron t until
the last nail is positioned in front of the magazine spring
17.
Note: A lock function of the magazine slider prevents the
power to ol from being st arted with an em pty magazine.
The discharge lock-off cannot b e pressed in and blank fir-
ing is thus prevented.
– P ress the pretensioned nail pusher 14 against the mag-
azine slider 13 and at the same time, pull the magazine
slider completely to the end of the magazine 12 .
Note: The magazine slider must slide back with only low
force (finger-pressure). A tight-running magazine slider
causes the nails to be driven in at an incorrect angle.
