Technical Data
Operation
Starting Operation
Ensure that the vehicle socket is designed for the spe-
cific input voltage. The vehicle socket is protected by a
fuse.
When using the battery charger on on-board power systems
in accordance with ISO 4165, the adapter 8 must be removed
(see arrow image).
If the adapter 8 loosens and becomes stuck when pulling the
12 V plug 6 out of a 12 V socket, pull the adapter 8 out using
the draw hook 7.
To pull out an adapter 8 which has become stuck, use
the draw hook 7. Do not use metal objects. Danger of
short-circuiting.
Charging Procedure
The charging process begins as soon as the 12 V plug 6 is
plugged into an energised 12 V socket, the specified input
voltage is present (the vehicle engine has been started) and
the inductive battery 1 or the power tool with battery 1 (with
base of the battery) is placed onto the charging platform 5.
The charging process only begins when the battery capacity is
less than 85 – 90 %. This prolongs the life of the battery.
Due to the intelligent charging method, the charging condi-
tion of the battery is automatically detected and the battery is
charged with the optimum charging current, depending on
battery temperature and voltage.
This gives longer life to the battery and always leaves it fully
charged when kept in the charger for storage.
Meaning of the Indication Elements
Continuous Light Standby Indicator (green) 2
The continuous light of the green standby indica-
tor 2 shows that input voltage is present and the
charger is ready to use.
Flashing Charge Status Indicator 3
The fast charging process is indicated by
the flashing of the respective green LED of
the charge status indicator 3. When the re-
spective share of the battery is charged, the
green flashing light changes to a green continuous light.
The battery can be removed at any time and used. When all
five LEDs indicate a green continuous light, the battery is fully
charged.
Continuous Light Error Indicator (red) 4
The continuous light of the red error indicator 4
shows that the temperature of the battery or
charger is outside of the permitted charging tem-
perature range, see section “Technical Data”. As
soon as the permitted temperature range is reached, the
charger automatically switches to fast charging.
