Turn the level controls back to the off position

Residual heat indicator
WARNING: Risk of burns!
Do not touch the cooking zones while the residual
heat indicator lights up.
After switching off the cooking zones the residual
heat indicator of the corresponding cooking zone
lights up. This warns against touching the zone.
Oven functions
Description
Off position:
oven operation is switched
off.
Lighting:
the oven lighting can be
switched on independently of the oven
operation, e.g. for cleaning the oven.
Top/bottom heat*:
the heating is done
in a conventional way. The heat is
evenly brought to the food from above
and below. Suitable for baking and
roasting on one level.
Bottom heat:
the heat is only brought to
the food from below. To be used when
baking from below e.g. Pizza.
Top heat:
heating takes place with the
top heat switched on. The heat is only
applied to the food from above. To be
used for re-baking from above or for
keeping warm.
Description
Grill:
the grill heating element is in op-
eration. Ideal for grilling or grilling meat,
casseroles, toast, etc.
Circulating grill:
in operation is the grill
heating element and the circulating air
fan for rapid heat circulation. The
circulating grill system e.g. replaces the
rotisserie when preparing meat.
Circulating:
the heat generated by the
top and bottom heating elements is
evenly distributed by an additional fan.
Ideal for faster cooking on several lev-
els. The reduction in temperature with
circulating compared to top/bottom heat
is approx. 20 to 30 degrees Celsius for
the same cooking time.
Convection:
with an additional ring
heating element behind the circulating
air fan, the food is heated evenly from
all sides by a hot air stream. Suitable
for simultaneous cooking on several
levels.
Defrosting (circulating air fan):
room
temperature air circulation allows quick
defrosting of frozen food (without using
heating elements). It is a gentle but
quick way to speed up the defrosting
time of e.g. vegetables or pre-cooked
food.
WARNING!
Do not defrost meat or fish
in the oven, there is a risk that the
number of dangerous micro-organisms
such as salmonella will increase.
*This type of heating is used to determine the energy con-
sumption in conventional mode.
