Remove the worn gasket rubber by removing it
from the groove. Carefully clean the appliance
door and the groove below the rubber and re-
move any adhesive residue.
Attach the new rubber. If necessary, heat the
rubber seal with a hair dryer or hot water and
shape it by hand. Start pressing the gasket in one
corner and then press it around the door into the
groove provided for this purpose.
Continue to check the seal regularly for dirt and
damage!
Defrosting
CAUTION:
Never use metal objects (e.g. knifes) to remove ice
from the evaporator, it can be damaged.
During the defrosting process in the fridge, the
water drops drain off at the back wall of the cooling
chamber. The thaw water running through a channel,
is collected in a drip tray located on the compressor,
from which it then evaporates. Make sure that the
defrost water drain channel does not become
clogged. A slight formation of ice on the interior rear
wall during operation is normal.
A permanently high power level can lead to in-
creased ice formation
set a lower power level and
wipe the interior of the appliance dry.
To achieve better cooling and to save energy,
defrost the freezer regularly:
To start the defrosting process, disconnect the
appliance from the power supply.
Remove the appliance content and keep covered
at a cool location.
When the ice has melted, wipe the condensate
away and dry the appliance interior.
Then you may restart the appliance by connecting
the plug and turning the temperature control.
Changing the light
Lamp specifications: 220-240 V~ / max. 10 W
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
Loosen and remove the light cover.
Replace the defective lamp.
Insert the light cover correctly.
Put the appliance back into operation.
Replacing the door hinge
If the appliance door starts to stutter, crack or jam
when you open it, it is probably due to a worn or
damaged hinge.
It is recommended to replace all door hinges at the
same time, otherwise the next repair will soon be
beckoning.
Remove the contents of the appliance and the
movable interior parts.
Tilt the appliance backwards and block it in this
position to prevent the door from sliding out.
Loosen the screws on the rear of the appliance,
remove the appliance cover and disassemble the
upper door hinge.
Remove the upper appliance door, place it se-
curely to the side and disassemble the middle
door hinge.
If necessary, first turn out the stand and disas-
semble the lower door hinge.
The respective hinge assembly is carried out in
reverse order.
