Nekatere priprave jedi, vključno s kuhanjem riža po metodi absorbiranja, zahtevajo višjo nastavitev

4.1.2 Zapeka steaka
Za pripravo sočnih, okusnih steakov:
1. Meso pustite pred kuhanjem približno 20 minut ležati na sobni temperaturi.
2. Segrejte ponev s težkim dnom.
3. Obe strani steaka namažite z oljem. Majhno količino olja dajte v ponev in nato spustite mesto v vročo
ponev.
4. Steak med pripravo obrnite samo enkrat. Natančen čas priprave je odvisen od debeline mesa in
načina, kako ga želite zapeči. Čas se lahko spreminja od 2 – 8 minut na stran. Pritisnite na meso, da
preverite, kako je pečeno bolj čvrsto kot je, bolj bo »pečeno skoz«.
5. Steak pustite nekaj minut počivati na toplem krožniku, da se sprosti in postane mehak, preden ga
postrežete.
4.1.3 Priprava s hitrim praženjem (kitajski način)
1. Izberite vok ali veliko ponev z dnom, primernim za keramično ploščo.
2. Vse sestavine in opremo imejte že pripravljene. Ta način priprave mora biti hiter. Pri pripravi večjih
količin, je treba kuhati v več manjših porcijah.
3. Ponev na kratko predsegrejte in dodajte dve jedilni žlici olja.
4. Najprej pripravite morebitno meso in ga nato umaknite na toplo.
5. Nato popražite zelenjavo. Ko je vroča, vendar še vedno hrustljava, kuhališče nastavite na nižjo
nastavitev, dodajte prej popraženo mesto in nato še omako.
6. Sestavine nežno mešajte, da se dobro segrejejo.
7. Postrezite takoj.
