• To heat liquids, always use tall, thin containers and do not over fill.
• Before removing cappuccino maker (9) turn dial (18) to position ” ”.
• To obtain stiff milk froth (cappuccino), do not insert cappuccino maker (9) too far down into
container and slowly move it up and down so that it the whole surface is ‘worked’ (fig.“S”).
• To obtain optimum froth use cold or room temperature milk.
TIPS
EVERY TIME ANY KIND OF LIQUID HAS BEEN HEATED, ESPECIALLY MILK, DISPENSE STEAM FOR A
FEW SECONDS INTO AN EMPTY CONTAINER.
9. ENERGY SAVING MODE
• To ensure that the nozzle is properly cleaned, once the steam wand has been removed from
milk, dispense steam for a few seconds into an empty container.
AT THE ONSET OF STEAM DELIVERY, SPURTS OF HOT WATER COULD COME OUT OF SPOUT.
TO COMPENSATE FOR THIS, DISPENSE INTO ANOTHER CONTAINER FOR A FEW SECONDS BEFORE
HEATING THE DRINK WITH STEAM.
8. DISPENSING STEAM
This device has been designed in accordance with European directives EC1275/2008 and
2009/125/EC providing provisions for energy-saving mode. This device integrates an
energy savings circuit that operates after 15 minutes of inactivity: the machine is turned
off and the power consumption is less than 0.5W.
• To restart the machine it is necessary to press the power switch: the machine will start
pre-heating the boiler (red LED flashing) and once it reaches operating temperature, it will
indicate the ready state (LED solid).
• To turn off the machine without waiting for the passage in standby function, just press
the switch.
THE TIME OF PRE-HEATING DEPENDS ON THE INACTIVE TIME AND CAN LAST UP TO 50
SECONDS IF NOT BEEN USED FOR A FEW HOURS.
THE MACHINE ENETERS IN STAND-BY AUTOMATICALLY AFTER 15 MINUTES EVEN IF IT IS NOT
BREWED ANY COFFEE.
