Kropsvægt /Måling af Body Mass Index (legemsmasseindeks)
Body Mass Index (BMI) er et tal, der ofte anvendes til at vurdere legemsvægten. Tallet beregnes på grund-
lag af legemsvægten og højden. Formlen herfor lyder: Body Mass Index = legemsvægt : højde².

Vær opmærksom på, at BMI-beregningen ved meget muskuløse kroppe (bodybuilder) angiver en overvægt.
Grunden til dette er, at den kraftigt overgennemsnitlige muskelmasse ikke indregnes i BMI-formlen.
