5.6.1 Menu 10 - teaching in a fingerprint (see Figure 7)
Fingerprints can be taught in by selecting menu 10.
The display for the first free memory location (e.g.
“00”) will appear. The “
” and “
” buttons can be
used to teach in a fingerprint at a specific location. Only free memory
locations are displayed here. The “P” button must be pressed for 4
seconds to enable a teach-in process on the reader for this memory
location. The selected location number will begin to flash and signals
readiness to teach in the fingerprint.
Readiness to teach in the fingerprint is also indicated by slow flashing
of the green LED on the reader.
Note:
Wait at least 1 minute between switching on the power supply and
teaching in the first fingerprint to allow the finger sensor to reach its
operating temperature.
