• Ist dies nicht der Fall, ändern Sie den Luftdruck im linken Gabelholm entsprechend. Drehen Sie dazu die
silberfarbene Kappe an der Oberseite des linken Gabelholms auf. Darunter befindet sich das Ventil:
• Ab Werk ist die Gabel des BEN-E-BIKE auf ein Fahrergewicht von etwa 30 kg eingestellt (Luftdruck 25 psi)
eingestellt.
Die Federgabel muss so abgestimmt werden, dass sie höchstens in Extremfällen durchschlägt. Fühlbar und meist
auch deutlich hörbar ist eine zu weiche Feder (zu wenig Luftdruck) an harten Schlägen. Diese entstehen, wenn
sich die Gabel ruckartig vollständig zusammenschiebt. Schlägt eine Federgabel häufig durch, können diese und
der Rahmen auf Dauer versagen. Das BEN-E-BIKE darf nicht gefahren werden, wenn die Luft komplett aus der
Gabel abgelassen wurde!
Haben Sie den Idealwert des Luftdrucks innerhalb der Gabel gefunden, so notieren Sie sich diesen Wert für
spätere Kontrollen.
EINSTELLEN DER DRUCKSTUFE
Die Dämpfung wird durch Ventile im Inneren geregelt. Der Durchfluss des Öls durch diese Ventile bremst die
Geschwindigkeit, mit der die Federgabel aus- bzw. einfedert, und verhindert ein „Nachwippen“ der Federung nach
einem Hindernis. Die "SMOOTHER"-Federgabel hat eine variable Zugstufe und eine variable Druckstufe mit einer
sogenannten LockOut-Funktion.
