Tip: The X 3 2 RACK remote commun ication is OSC -
base d ( o pen sound cont rol) and we will share the
protocol o n our website, allowing develop ers to
design th eir own control s of twar e. S tay tuned to

The X-USB card allows tr ansmission of up to
32 channels to and fro m a connec ted computer.

mixer to your compu ter . T he card is CoreAud io
compatib le, allowing it to work wit h computer s with
the OS X oper ating sys tem sof t ware of Apple, Inc.

analógic as XLR con previo d e micro en el pan el
tras ero, así como 8 salidas XLR y 6 envío s y retornos
auxiliare s TRS en el pan el traser o. Además,
dispone de d os puer tos AES50 , cada u no de ellos con
48 c anales de entr ada y salida y una ranur a de tarjet a
para 32 canales más d e entrada y sa lida a y desde un
ordenado r conec tado vía USB.

In order to pr event any error s by losing power
during a s tore oper ation, we recommend
using the “S afe Shutdown” f unc tion fr om the
Setup/ Global page .
NOTE: The X 3 2 RACK can be l ocked agains t unintended
use by ac tivatin g ‘Lock Conso le’ fr om the Set up/ Global
page. In this s tate the UI will not allow any chang es
to be made and th e display shows “X” . Keep HOME
depres sed for ab out 5 secon ds to unlock the X 32 again.
The X32 rmware c an easily be up dated by
per forming the following steps:
• Downloa d the new console r mware fro m the
X32 RACK produc t pag e onto the root level o f a
USB thumb drive
• Plug the USB thumb dri ve into the fron t panel USB
connec tor while t he console is tur ned o
• Hold the USB but ton depre ssed whil e switching
the conso le on. While booti ng, the X32 RACK
will run a f ully automatic r mware update,
which wi ll take 2 - 3 minutes lo nger than the
regular boot sequence
When no upda te le is available on the USB drive,
or when it i s corrupte d, the update mode w ill remain
ac tive, preventing the X 32 from boot ing regularly.
Switch the cons ole o and back on w ithout ho lding
the USB but ton to boot the con sole with t he
exis ting rmware.
CAUTION: Please do not b lock the vent op enings on
the sides o f the X32 RACK cabine t! Speci cally when
mounting t he X32 RACK in a road c ase, please ensure
there is su cient space to allow fo r some air ow .

Main D isplay Ar ea
The top se cti on of the main display per manently
covers us eful s tatus info rmation. The to p lef t corner
shows the se lec ted channel numb er , it s nickname
and the se lecte d icon. The nex t bloc k shows the
cur rent scene number an d name in amber , as well
as the ne xt up coming scene. The center se ctio n
displays the playb ack le name along wi th elapsed
and remaining t ime and a record er statu s icon.
Thenex t blo ck to the right has 4 s egment s to show
the st atus of AES50 po rt s A and B, the Card slot and
the audio c lock sy nchroniz ation source and s ample
rate (topright) . Small green s quare indicato rs show
prope r connec tivit y . The rig ht most blo ck shows the
console t ime that can be s et under Se tup/C ong.
When work ing with any given s creen, pres s the
Page keys loc ated on the display beze l to switch to
dierent scre en pages.
Editing p arameter s or set tings on each of t he scre ens
is done using t he 6 associa ted push- encoders a long
the bot tom edge o f the display .
• Whenever ther e is a continuous con trol or list
entr y , you can tu rn the corr esponding k nob
fored iting, which is in dicated by var ious
circularico ns
• When there i s a switch or to ggle func tion
on one of the se knob s, you will see a bro ad
rec tangular b utton alo ng the lower edge of t he
eld. Pre ssing the encoder c hanges the on/o
sta te of the corre sponding f unct ion. When the
rec tangular b utton in t he display is dark grey,
thecor responding f unc tion is o/inac tive; whenit
is amber , the f unction is on/active
Custo mizing t he X32 RACK thr ough th e
Utilities page
Press th e Utilit y but ton, located to th e right of
the main display, to bring up usef ul fu nctio ns in a
“ contex t-sensitive” mann er . Fo r example:
• When you are adjus ting the e qualizer of a
console c hannel, pressing th e Utilit y but ton
will oer co pying, past ing, loading or s aving of
equalizer sett ings
• On the Rou ting pages, p ressing the Ut ility b utton
will oer loading or saving dierent preset s of
routi ng scenarios
• In the Scene s menu, pressing t he Utilit y but ton oer s
copying, loa ding, saving or naming co nsole scenes
NOTE: The X 3 2 RACK DC A groups c an be selec ted
using the Chann el Selec t contro l in order to adjus t
their f ader level, mute or solo s tatus. Note, however ,
that the main disp lay will remain foc used on the las t
real channel (b us or input) that was s elec ted befo re
DC A, since DCA s do not featu re any processing.
Star tup an d Shutdow n, and Update:
We recommend sw itching the X 3 2 RACK mixer on
rs t, and shut ting it o las t when any sound s ystem
is connec ted. This w ill prevent the pos sibilit y of any
unex pec ted noises b eing transmit ted dur ing the
sta rtu p/ shu tdown proce ss.
The Set up scre en’ s gen eral prefe rence page cont ains a
Safe Mai n Levels func tion. When ac tivate d, the console
automatic ally mutes the main LRC le vels when bootin g
the conso le. It also prevents any scen e loading fr om
aec ting (i.e. turning u p ) t he mains levels.
Synchroniz ation and Sa mple Rate set tings f or the
console c an be adjus ted on the Set up/ Cong pag e,
but pleas e note that samp le rate changes wi ll
