11. Press the button (18) to switch on the grinder and start the brewing process. The op-

is poured over it to brew it.
If the brewing process is to be aborted prematurely, press the button. The operating
status indicator

If the keep-hot function has been switched on beforehand, the device remains in opera-
tion for up to 40 minutes and the operating status indicator

Making Coffee with Coffee Powder
1. Activate the display (19) (see the “Handling and Operation” chapter | “Display Lighting”).
2. Fill the water tank (13) (see the “Handling and Operation” chapter | “Filling the Water Tank”).
3. Open the fi lter compartment (5) by pressing the release button for the fi lter compart-
ment(4).
4. Insert the permanent fi lter (17) or a basket fi lter paper (see the “Handling and Operation”
chapter | “Inserting the Filter”).
5. Add the quantity of coffee powder you want to the fi lter using the measuring spoon (10)
which is supplied with the device or another suitable spoon. We recommend one heaped
spoon for each 125 ml cup.
6. Close the fi lter compartment.
7. Set the desired number of cups with the button

8. Set the desired coffee strength with the button

(see the “Handling and Op-
eration” chapter | “Setting the Coffee Strength”).
9. Activate the aroma button and / or switch on the keep-hot function as you wish (see the
“Handling and Operation” chapter | “Aroma Button” and | “Keep-Hot Function”).
10. Press the button
(20) to start the brewing process. The operating status indicator
lights up and appears on the display. Hot water is poured over the coffee
powder to brew it.
