the papers. The higher the number is,
the ner the grain.
It is important to use the right paper for
each job. For rough sanding use grain
sizes up to 80, for soft wood as larch,
pine or spruce use papers from 120 to
150. For dense hardwood as beech or
maple, the grain sizes up to 220 can be
used.
10. Attaching the sanding paper
10.1 Press button (5) inwards in order to lift
up the clamping bracket.
10.2 Fit the sanding paper to the sanding
plate (7). Please observe correct place-
ment of the holes in the sanding paper
according to the holes in the sanding
plate.
10.3 Place the sanding paper on the sanding
plate in such a way that the holes in the
sanding paper correspond with the
holes in the sanding plate. Only then the
dust can be sucked from the sanding
surface into the dust extraction system
through the sanding plate.
10.4 Fold the overhanging ends of the sand-
ing paper around the ends of the sand-
ing plate and under the clamping brack-
ets (5).
11. Dust extraction
Always use the dust collection box when
sanding.
Attach the dustbox to the machine.
Preferably clean the dust collection box and
the exhaust connection in the housing after
each use. By doing this the dust collection
box can be easily inserted and removed.
12. ON/OFF switch
12.1 To turn the machine on, press the ON/
OFF switch (2). To turn the machine off,
release the ON/OFF switch.
12.2 For continuous operation press the ON/
OFF switch and lock it with the locking
button (3).
12.3 To release the lock, press the ON/OFF
button again and the locking button will
be released.
13. Speed adjusting dial
13.1 With the speed adjusting dial (1) you
can adjust the speed according to appli-
cation. Select the appropriate speed
setting and make sure the sander does
not become overloaded and stops
running.
13.2 Turn the speed adjusting dial (1) step-
lessly to the desired setting to increase
or decrease the speed. The adjusting
dial can be adjusted from 1 – 6 (MAX).
13.3 The speed rate can be changed during
operation as well.
Hint: The required speed rate for cutting
resp. sanding a workpiece depends on the
material that you are going to process. For
best performance, make practical tests.
14. Sanding
Apply only moderate pressure on the
machine. Too much pressure will lead
to jamming of the mechanism and will
spoil the result. Excessive pressure will
overheat the machine.
Always select abrasive paper with
coarseness suited the condition of the
surface.
Use ner papers in the consecutive
sanding until the desired smoothness is
reached. If you desire a very smooth
nish you may slightly moisten the
surface before the last sanding. This
will slightly swell the bres and allow a
smoother nish.
15. Cleaning and maintenance
To avoid injury always pull the power
plug before maintaining or cleaning the
machine.
Clean the machine with a moist cloth.
If the machine is very dirty use a mild
detergent or soap on the cloth. Other
cleaning agents may contain chemical
substances which may damage the
plastic parts of the machine.
Do not allow liquids to enter the
machine and do not immerse the
machine in liquids of any kind.
Repairs, inspections of the interior of
the machine, adjustments and replace-
