Settings on the Telephone
If there is no other special notice the receiver has
to be hanged up.
The display is necessary for some settings. It is
automatically switched on when the keyboard is
used the first time. If no key has been touched for
app. 25 seconds, the telephone will return into the
idle state and the display will be switched off.
If you like to delete a display information
(e.g. a telephone number after confirma-
tion of a destination speed dialing key) or a status
message (e.g. „SAVE OK“) from the display, wait
25 seconds without pressing a key or press once
or twice the OK key , until the number of
incoming calls is shown in the bottom display line.
Select the Language
The telephone supports various display lan-
guages. Select your language or your country to
use the features in the correct combination.
In Belgium please use the setting „NED-
ERLAND“. In Great Britain, Italy and Hun-
gary please use the setting „ENGLISH1“.
Set Ringer Volume/Switch off Ringer
Move the sliding switch, on the backside of your
telephone (point ብ in pic. 10 on page 18) to the
corresponding position (loud , low , off ).
If you have switched off the ringer, only
the callers marked as VIP would be sig-
nalized acoustically (see page 26).
Time, Date and Contrast
With the here described function you can set the
date and time one after the other, permit/suppress
the display of the day of the week and adjust the
display contrast.
If date (only day and month) and time will
be transferred as part of the CLIP informa-
tion in a call to your connection, this time informa-
tion will automatically be taken over into the tele-
phone. The settings that are necessary when
connecting this telephone to an Auerswald PBX,
can be learned in the chapter Settings for Use with
an Auerswald PBX system on page 20.

„Delete“, „OK“ „Forward“ in the
stated order.
The active language is displayed.
Select the requested language with
the arrow keys.
Press the OK key to confirm your
selection.

the setting key until
the display shows „SET TIME“.
The hour display blinks.
Select the current hour with the
arrow keys
Press the OK key to confirm your
selection.
The tens of the minute display
blinks.
Now select with the arrow keys one
after the other:
- the tens of the minutes
- the unit position of the minutes
- the current month
- the current day
- the tens of the year
- the unit position of the year.
Each time press the OK key to con-
firm your selection or to go forward
to the next setting.
Then a digit blinks at the beginning
of the second display that shows the
actual day of the week (0...6 for Sun-
day ... Saturday).
