Remote access
You can call your answering machine from another telephone to play
messages or execute other functions. A condition for this is the use of a
telephone which implements tone dialling.
PIN code for remote access
In order to use the remote access facility, you must enter the 4−digit secur-
ity PIN code. The default PIN code is 0000".
We recommend you change this PIN code because the simple
default security code does not provide effective protection from
access to your answering machine by third parties who could
play messages or change programme settings via a remote con-
trol.
Changing the PIN code
Example: setting ‘9876’ as the new PIN code.

wering machine is played to the end and then the line is automati-
cally disconnected.

taken after 20 rings.

Key function assignment for remote access
Every remote access process is automatically cancelled if there
is no input within 10 seconds.
The functions assigned to the buttons are dependent on the mode cur-
rently activated. The following table provides an overview of the respective
functions assigned to the individual buttons.
