Water dispenser doesn't work
Water is cut off/turned off.
Water hose to the appliance is blocked.
Normal when the fridge/freezer combination
has just been connected to the water supply.
There is still some air in the water pipe. Keep
the switch depressed for at least two minutes
to allow the air to escape from the water pipe.
Water in first glass of water is warm.
Normal when the fridge/freezer combination
has just been connected. It takes 24 hours for
the appliance to reach its operating
temperature.
If you haven't used any water for a relatively
long period of time, the water in the first glass
of water will be less cold than the water in the
subsequent glasses of water.
Water has funny taste
If you haven't used the water dispenser for a
relatively long period of time, throw away the
first glasses of water.
Tap water of inferior quality. Fit a water filter.
Water on kitchen floor or at bottom of fre e z e r
s e c t i o n
Discharge opening of freezer section is
blocked. Remove any ice from the bottom of
the freezer section and clean discharge
opening.
Glass/ice bucket held too high (higher than
15cm) under dispenser opening. Ice cubes
may block dispenser opening and later drop
down.

cubes may have become attached to the
sensor. Remove them.

Old ice cubes. Throw them away. Clean the
ice container.

This is normal. The motor is air-cooled. Some
floor coverings may be discoloured by this
warm air.
The wall between the refrigerator and freezer
sections feels warm
This is normal. The fridge/freezer combination
is equipped with a feature by means of which
condensation at high temperatures is limited.
Door doesn't close properly
Door seal on the hinge side of the door sticks
or is folded over. Treat the door seal with a
little talcum powder.
Interior light does not come on
No current.
Bulb defective. Replace bulb.

Automatic icemaker doesn't work
Icemaker's sensor has been switched off and
is in setting (up).
– Water has been cut off.
– Temperature in freezer section is too high.
Piled-up ice cubes in ice container have
caused the icemaker's sensor to be set to the
setting. Spread the ice cubes in the ice
container evenly by hand.
