tips (continued)
Hold the glass as high as possible under the
discharge opening. This will prevent crushed ice
being scattered over the glass or ice cubes not
falling into the glass.
Put ice into the glass before you add liquid, to avoid
splashing.
Do not use the ice container for rapid chilling of
drinks or food. This could cause the icemaker to
become blocked.
Never add other ice cubes to the contents of the ice
container. They could cause the icemaker to
become blocked.
warning
Never put ice cubes into your mouth immediately
after taking them out of the freezer section. They
will be so cold that they may hurt your mouth.
The automatic icemaker is equipped with a sensor
which is connected to an on/off switch. This
ensures that no ice cubes are made as long as the
ice container is full.
f the fridge/freezer combination is not
connected to the water supply, the icemaker
sensor should be up, in setting (= off).
After the appliance has been connected to the
water supply, set the sensor down, in setting |.

If the switch is set to and you push a glass
against the switch in the dispenser, you get chilled
water.
Chilled water flows
6. through the pipe in the door and ends up in the
glass.
With the aid
7. of the light switch, you switch the light of the
dispenser on or off.
If this is your first fridge/freezer combination with
icemaker, you will hear various sounds while the ice
cubes are being made. This is normal and you
needn't be concerned.
The icemaker produces eight ice cubes a cycle. It
produces about 120 in 24 hours. This number,
however, is affected by such factors as freezer
compartment temperature, room temperature and
frequency with which the door is opened.
Irregular ice production is normal. Interruptions in
ice production which last longer than normal may
be caused by chunks of ice. Remove these chunks
(see "formation of chunks of ice").
Do not overfill glasses. Do not use narrow and/or tall
glasses, since they may cause the dispenser to
become blocked or to freeze solid. Open the door of
the freezer section now and again and check that the
dispenser discharge opening is not blocked. You may
remover chunks of ice with a wooden spoon,
