The beep, which can be heard when the buttons are pressed,
can be switched off or on.

1 Switch the front-left cooking zone on and then off by
pressing the on/off button twice.
2 Immediately afterwards, press the – button belonging to
the front-left cooking zone for five seconds.
A beep confirms the setting that has just been selected.
The beep for the front-left and rear-left cooking zones is now
switched off. Repeat this operation for the right-hand cooking
zones and the double cooking zone using the on/off button
and the – button for the front-right/double cooking zone.

Various protective devices have been fitted in the appliance
to protect the electronics and your cooking utensils. If the
appliance has been installed correctly, the protective devices
will rarely, if ever, have to come into operation.
cooking-time limiter
The cooking-time limiter switches the cooking zones off after
a certain time, depending on the setting.
In the table below, you can see after how long the cooking-
time limiter switches the appliance off for the various
settings.

detection protection
The cooking zone only reacts if a suitable pan is placed on it.
If there is just a spoon or a fork on the cooking zone, the
cooking zone does not switch on.
The lights continue to blink.
ventilation protection
The electronics have to be cooled. Cool air is drawn in behind
the kitchen cupboard and blown out again at the front under
the worktop. The appliance is only able to function, therefore,
if sufficient air can circulate.
The appliance does not switch on if there is insufficient
circulation of air.
