Locking steerable front wheel
On flat terrain, it is more comfortable to leave
the front wheel free to pivot. If you mow in hori-
zontal direction, it is necessary to always lock
the wheel.

1. Lift off the cover (1) of the steering tube.
2. Pull the lock bar (2) of the steerable front
wheel interlock backwards next to the hand
lever (3).
3. Push the cover (1) back on.
Locking steerable front wheel
1. Align the steerable front wheel parallel to
the bar.
2. Lift off the cover (1) of the steering tube.
3. Pull the lock bar (2) of the steerable front
wheel interlock forward.
4. Push the cover (1) back on.
Starting
Warning
During startup, there is a risk of injury
caused by the rotating blade.
Make sure that no one is within the
danger zone of the blade. Do not tip the
device over to one side during startup.
Warning
Danger of poisoning due to poisonous ex-
haust gases.
Do not operate the engine in closed or
insufficiently ventilated rooms.
Please observe the safety instruction re-
garding the poisoning risk.
Warning
If after startup the carburetor does not close
properly, fuel will overflow and a fire hazard
occurs.
Close the fuel valve and contact an au-
thorised service centre.
Starting device
1. Place the device on even terrain, not in
high grass.
2. Pull the starter grip slowly to the rear and
attach it onto the starter grip holder.
3. Close the fuel valve and the tank ventila-
tion.
4. Plug in the plug connector.
5. Only for cold start: Close the choke at the
carburetor (turn anti-clockwise).
6. Press the tickler at the carburetor until fuel
flows.
7. Turn the accelerator lever to the lowest en-
gine speed.
8. Actuate and hold the engine brake bar.
9. Pull the starter grip slowly out until you feel
resistance and then pull out quickly – en-
gine starts to run.
10. Slowly bring the starter grip back and at-
tach it onto the starter grip holder.
11. Turn the accelerator lever to medium en-
gine speed.
