Terminal Connection
1 + 2 Safety connection (light barrier or DW)
Delivery status with cable link
Terminal 1: Signal (SIG)
Terminal 2: Ground (GND)
3 + 4 24V outputs (unregulated max. 34V), max. 1A
(supply e.g. a light barrier)
Terminal 3: +24 V

Fuses
The fuse outputs are protected by two miniature fuses
fuse (27): protection of warning light output (terminals 5 + 6) with a 1 A
slow fuse
fuse (28): protection of 27 V output (terminals 3 + 4) with a 1 A slow
fuse
Additional adjustment possibilities via DIP switch (25) 1-6:
Dealing with Obstructions
If the door encounters an obstruction when it is closing, the drive rever-
ses approx. 10 cm (note DIP switch (25) setting) and then stops in this
position. For reasons of safety, the next starting signal causes the door
to move only in the “Open” direction, until the upper end-point in its tra-
vel has been reached. At this point, both directions of travel are enabled
again. The same applies in the opposite direction for any obstruction en-
countered during opening. If the door should come up against an ob-
struction in both directions, for reasons of safety the drive mechanism
switches over to dead-man operating mode, i.e. the light flashes and the
drive only operates for as long as the wall-mounted control button is held
down. Once the obstruction has been cleared, the door can be brought
to one of the end-points of its travel in dead-man operating mode. At
this point the drive returns to its normal operating mode.
T
APERTO 868 L AND APERTO 868 LX, L-CONTROL WITH ENHANCED
FUNCTIONS AND WITH CONNECTION FOR SAFETY DEVICES
This control offers you extensive auxiliary functions, e.g. partial door ope-
ning, 2 channel operation, door status indication and an interface to the
TorMinal (33).
Connector (24)
permissible cable diameters: max. 1.5 mm of 2 Pin allocation of the
connector: (see under S)
Connection facilities
additional connection options on the pluggable screw terminal (26) of
the control unit.
Permissible cable cross-sections: max. 0.75 mm².
WARNING! The bridge at terminal 1+2 must be connected whenever
no safety control unit is installed. If you connect a safety device take
out the bridge at terminal 1+2.

Additional adjustment facilities via DIP switch (30) 1-8:
PARTIAL OPENING
This function partly or completely opens the door, depending upon previo-
us setting. Application examples: Ventilate the garage, open side of
sectional door for personal entry.
Partial opening can be used both with two wall switches and by remote
control alone. In pure remote control operation, the safety connection (26)
terminals 1 + 2 remain available.
When wall switch 2 is operated, partial opening is carried out if the door is
closed. If the door is already completely or partially open, operating wall
switch 2 closes the door again.
Wall switch 1 opens the door completely, even if the door was been partly
opened with wall switch 2.
