Whendriving,donotusethemodem:
Whenswitchedon,themodememitselectromagneticwavesthatcaninterfere
withthevehicle’selectronicsystemssuchasABSanti‐lockbrakesorairbags.To
ensurethatthereisnoproblem,pleasedonotplacethemodemontop ofthe
dashboardorwithinanairbagdeploymentarea.
Check with your car dealer or the car manufacturer to make sure that the
dashboardisadequatelyshieldedfrommodemRFenergy.
ConditionsofUse
1. Switchthemodemoffbeforeboardinganaircraft.
2. Switch the modem off when you are in health car e facilities, except in
designated areas. As with many other types of equipment now in regular use,
mobileTele‐modemscaninterferewith otherelectricalorelectronicdevices,or
equipment‐usingradiofrequencies.
3. Switchthemodemoffwhenyouareneargasorflammableliquids.Strictlyobey
all signs andinstructionsposted in afueldepot,petrolstation, chemical plant,
orinanypotentiallyexplosiveatmosphere.
4. When the modem is switched on, it should be kept at least 15 cm from any
medicaldevicesuchasapacemaker,ahearingaidorinsulinpump,etc.
5. Do not let children use the modem without supervision. The modem may
containsmallpartsthatcouldbecomedetachedandcreateachokinghazard.
6. Whenreplacingthecover,pleasenotethatthemodemmaycontainsubstances
thatcouldcreateanallergicreaction.
7. Alwayshandlethemodemwithcar eandkeepitinacleananddust‐freeplace.
8. Do not allow the modem to be exposed to adverse weather or environmental
conditions(moisture,humidity,rain,infiltrationofliquids, dust,seaair,etc).The
manufacturer’srecommendedoperatingtemperaturerangeis‐10°Cto+50°C.
9. Donotopen,dismantleorattempttorepairthemodemyourself.
