Transportation
For easier transportation, the shredder can be se-
parated in the middle (hinges).
1 Unscrew the nut. (1a)
2 Pull out the rod and take the upper part off.
(1b)
Cleaning inside the housing
Aftrer cleaning the inside of the shredder, we re-
commend that you spray the inside and the blade
disc with a fine oil to prevent corrosion.
Motor is maintenance-free
Remember your "TCS Duotec" has a tough job to
do in shredding branches and shrubs. It is there-
fore, of parampunt importance that the cutters are
kept sharp. The cutters have appreciable less cut-
ting power when blunt. The shred is then coarser
(will not decompose so easily).
Shredder tears rather than cuts when the cutters
are blunt.
Prior to switching the shredder on check taht all
cutters are securely mounted.
Changing and grinding cutters
Assembly:
Included with the shredder is the following:
4 box spanner SW10
1 open-ended spanner SW 10/8
1 Torx-bit T30
CAUTION!
Always switch off the motor and dis-
connect the plug prior to gaining ac-
cess to the cutters!
Make shure the cutters are sharp
when used!
Always keep to the original cutting
edge when regrinding the cutters!
Use new cutters, when necessary!
Wear protective gloves when doing
this, to avoid the risk of injury.
Loosen the countersunk head bolt using the Torx-
bit and open-ended spanner and turn the bldes
180°. (10a)
These blades are double ground and can thus be
used on both sides. When blunt on both sides re-
new, and make sure they are screwed in tightly.
Diassembly of the pre-cutter and blade disc:
CAUTION!
Wear protective gloves when doing this,
to avoid the risk of injury!
Using the allen key, loosen the socket head screw
in the blade holder (keeping the lower blade disc
from burning). (10b)
Now you can lift off the following parts:
Socket head screw with pre-cutter and was-
her. (11)
Upper blade disc. (12)
Distance tube (13)
Lower blade disc.
Assembly is carried out in the reverse sequende.
Replacing the feeder funnel
If the tube will not close down (sticks), turn the
blade disc around 90°.
lift back the tube and engage in the saftey lever
(central catch).
Screw in the handscrew.
CAUTION!
Before puuting into operation check
that the feeder tube has been pro-
perly located and locked with the
central catch!
For replacement og this crew use
only original part!

or spent batteries (including recharge-
able batteries) in domestic waste!
