Compressed air is an energy fluid and therefore potentially dangereous. The
pipes carrying compressed air must be suitable fixed especially rubber hoses;
if not property fixed they can cause damage or hurt somebody. Do not pull
rubber hoses to try and move the compressor.
Do not weld or make any modifications whatsoever to the tank. If you find
some defects, air leak or corrosion the unit must be returned to the Service
Centres for a replacement to be fitted.
Never aim compressed air towards people or towards your body and
remember that the use of protective glasses is necessary for protecting the
eyes from dust and other particles moved by compressed air.
The use of compressed air in its applications (tyre inflation, pneumatic tools,
spray painting, washing, detergent washing etc.) must comply with the
relevant regulations for the individual cases guaranteeing the minimum
distance of 4 meters between the working area and the compressor.
Compressed air from a compressor can not be used for pharmaceutical, food
or health uses without further treatment. Do not use the compressed air to fill
the cylinders for breathing/diving apparatus.
5. START UP AND USE
- Connect the flexible hose to an external air receiver of suitable capacity for
the size of compressor and to reduce air consumption.Check the information
on the data plate with the specifications of the installation (voltage can
fluctuate by +/-10%).
- Check the oil level on the sight glass and if low refill through the oil filler. If
the oil level is below the minimum allowed, damage can occur to the pump, if
it exceeds the maximum oil is passed into the air supply.
- Turning the machine on and off must be done by using switch positioned on
the frontal panel, failure to do this would damage the compressor.
- The motor is supplied with thermal overload protection, this is placed in the
terminal box of the motor. They have manual reset, set when the machine
are tested, the setting must not be changed. A red warning light will show
that the protection must be re-set.
- When the machine is first installed and on each subsequent electrical
installation, it will be necessary to check the direction of rotation of the motor
and check the air inlet and outlet.
- Position the compressor at least 50 cm away from the wall and with good
ventilation around it, so that cool, clean air flows through the fly-wheels and
around the motor. If the compressor is located in a small room, it is
recommended to duet air from outside. It is important for the cabinet to be
closed for proper ventilation of the machine. On the two-stage compressors
the air compressed during the first stage at 4 bar pressure is cooled through
an intercooler into the final stage. For correct lubrication install the machine
on a level surface.
