EX: In case the radio has been receiving on channel 27
You can change the order in which the channel are scanned (increasing or decreasing) by pressing
the ▲ or ▼ keys.
If the 16 key is pressed briefly (less than one second), the radio will switch to Channel 16 and then will
go back to Scan Mode.
If Scan key is pressed during scanning, the operation will be stopped and you will go back to the
starting channel.
The Squelch level can be adjusted during the scan. You will access to the Squelch menu and the VHF
will go back to the SCAN mode automatically once your adjustment is done.
The volume level can be adjusted during the SCAN.
Caution: If the Volume key is pressed for more than two seconds, you enter the configuration mode of
the VHF.
During the SCAN operation, if you press the H/L key, the VHF will emit a warning beep.
_ Dual Watch (Key n°4)
Use the DW Key to monitor two channels: channel 16 and another user selectable.
E.g. You watch channels 61 and 16.
You are on CH 61 and you press DW for 3 seconds. Dual Watch activates continuous scanning
between the selected working channel and channel 16.
Receiving whilst in Dual Watch Mode
1) If you receive a message on Channel 16, the radio remains on this channel and continues the DW
function after 3 seconds.
2) If you receive a message on the other channel, Channel 16 will be checked every two seconds and
when the conversation is over the DW function will start again after three seconds.
If PTT key is pressed to transmit while Dual Watch mode in on:
1) If the VHF is receiving, the transmission will be made on the channel on which you are receiving.
After transmission the VHF will return to DW.
2) In all other cases, the transmission will be made on channel 16. After 3 seconds without
transmission the VHF will return to the DW mode.
_ My wish list (Keys n°3 and n°1)
(Use SCAN/MEM Key + Power On)
1) With the VHF switched off, depress the Power and Scan keys at the same time and turn the radio
on. By default, all the channels are memorized. This function allows you to choose the ones you want
to remove.
E.g. In case of Power Off and then Power On, Marine INT Mode
