5 OTHER OPERATIONS
_ Memory (Key n°3)
By default, all channels are memorized. You can remove or reset the channels you do not need by
pushing the key SCAN/MEM.
When the SCAN mode is activated, it is impossible to memorize a channel.
_ Scan types (Key n°3)
By default, all channels are memorized.
You can do a selective scan on channels that have been selected as memory channels. The VHF will
scan the channels in a numeric order.
Ex: MEM Channel: 1, 10, 15, 65, 77
Scan sequence: Ch1→Ch10→Ch15→Ch65→Ch77→Ch1→Ch10→ •••
If there is no channel memorized, you will hear a warning beep.
If there is only one channel in the scan memory, the radio will sound error tone “beep beep” and move
to appropriate channel.
EX: In case channel 27 is memorized.
If one of the channels is busy during the scan, the Scan stops on the busy channel and starts again 3
seconds after the conversation is over, the channel will be displayed until the signal stops and then 3
seconds later, scanning restarts.
If you transmit during the scan mode, there are two possibilities:
The Scan continues once the conversation is over.
The transmission is made from the active channel before the start of the Scan.
The SCAN indicator will flash when the radio is either receiving, or pausing before continuing the scan.
