8 Click OK. The new color replaces the original color in the Timeline Color Set dialog box.
9 Choose the desired opacity level from the Opacity menu adjacent to the color swatch.
10 Repeat steps 5 through 9 for any color you want to change.
11 For any subtitle group, select Create Anti-Alias Color From Fill And Stroke to automatically create an anti-alias
color based on the values for Fill and Stroke. Selecting this option disables the manual anti-alias color setting.
12 Click OK when you have defined all the colors to your satisfaction. The new color set is assigned to the timeline.
You can delete a color set you create, or you can export a color set for use in other projects. (See “Import and export
timeline color sets” on page 148.)
Import and export timeline color sets
You can share timeline color sets between projects. You can export a customized color set from one project, and
import the color set into another project.
Export a timeline color set
1
Open a timeline that uses the color set you want to export.
2 Choose Timeline > Edit Timeline Color Set.
3 Select the color set from the Color Set menu.
4 Click the Export To Color Set File button .
5 Type a new name for the color set, browse for the appropriate folder in which to save it, and click Save. Encore
saves the color set, adding the extension .cs to the filename.
6 Do one of the following:
To apply the currently selected color set to the timeline, click OK.
To leave the timeline settings unchanged, click Cancel. (This does not cancel the export.)
Import a timeline color set
1
Open the timeline to which you want to apply the imported color set.
2 Choose Timeline > Edit Timeline Color Set.
3 Click the Import From Color Set File button , locate and select the file, and then click Open.
4 Click OK.
Encore applies the color set to the active timeline.
Apply color to subtitles
All subtitles in a timeline use colors from the same timeline color set. You can vary the colors of the subtitle clips by
applying a different color group from within that color set.
Change the color set applied to subtitles
1
In the Project panel or the Timelines panel, select the timeline containing the subtitle colors you want to change.
2 In the Properties panel, choose the desired set from the Color Set menu.
(To add new sets to the Color Set menu, see “Define a color set for subtitles” on page 147.)
