Location

If possible choose a location where the detector is protected against direct sunlight,

which reduces the range. Please note that this is an optical system and consequently

there must be no obstructions between the transmitter and the detector. Indoors the

light however is reflected against walls, floor and ceiling. Light materials are good

reflectors while dark materials are bad ones. Glass will let the IR-light through.

Connection

Connect the detector according to the instructions for each individual receiver.

NOTE! The connection instructions refer to the colours of the detector cable. Be

careful when connecting the detector to the receiver. Making the wrong connection

may damage the detector. When lengthening the detector cable EKKX 1 x 2 x 0.5 is

used. Maximum 100 m detector cable can be connected.

Note! When mounting the Gewa Andromeda IR-DET OEM the detector casing must

be isolated from electrically conducting material.

Note! Detectors included in this manual can only be connected to Gewa Andromeda

IR-receivers.
