Controlling the AccuVoice TV Speaker
With Another Remote
The OTHER SETTINGS button can be used to adjust the soundbar
so it responds to one of many cable, satellite or TV remote controls.
Visit www.zvoxaudio.com for guidance regarding this “works with
your preferred remote” feature.
The supplied ZVOX remote control will always adjust the sound-
bar, even if one also uses his or her preferred TV remote to control
VOLUME, MUTE and POWER on the AccuVoice TV Speaker Model
Input Panel Infrared Sensor
The soundbar features an input panel infrared sensor. This
sensor allows a wired infrared emitter positioned in the input
panel recess to control the soundbars’s operation .
Manual On/Off Operation
As delivered, the soundbar turns ON and OFF automatically in response to
the audio signals from the TV and the POWER button on the remote control.
If you do not want the soundbar to automatically turn on and off in response
to the TV’s audio signal, the soundbar can also be congured so it only
responds to the remote control POWER button.
The POWER button on the ZVOX remote control allows you to switch
between Auto On/Off and Manual On/Off modes. To switch modes, rst
make sure the soundbar is “ON”. Then press and hold down the POWER
button for ve seconds. When you see noAS appear on the display, release
the POWER button. noAS indicates that Manual On/Off mode has been
selected. To switch back to Auto On/off mode, press and hold down the
POWER button for ve seconds again. Release the POWER button when
you see AS appear on the display. AS indicates that the Auto On/Off mode
has been selected.

6. Connecting a Powered Subwoofer to the Soundbar
The ZVOX Audio soundbar has a monaural Subwoofer Output (a single RCA jack). You
can connect this signal output to the input of a powered subwoofer for stronger and
deeper bass output than what is available from the soundbar alone. For best results, the
powered subwoofer should have both volume and low-pass adjustments. Low-pass sets
the upper frequency limit of the powered subwoofer.
Connect the Subwoofer Output on the soundbar to the powered subwoofer’s designated
monaural input.
Refer to Step 5 for a description of how to adjust the PS Menu on the Soundbar. Once the
powered subwoofer is connected to the soundbar, use the PS Menu on the soundbar to
select PS31. This stops the soundbar from playing deep bass, which can be produced by
the powered subwoofer. PS30 on the PS Menu restores deep bass output to the soundbar.
After setting the soundbar to PS31, the low-pass setting on the powered subwoofer should
be set to 85 Hz.
With the soundbar and powered subwoofer connected, the output level of the powered sub-
woofer should be adjusted for best blend with the ZVOX Audio soundbar. A popular music
recording with consistent bass output is a good choice for this step.
For further information about the options provided by the PS menu, see the separate infor-
mation sheet Soundbar Adjustment Options, available online at ZVOX Audio’s website.
