Installation to the mains supply (Fig. B)
NOTE: The hob may be connected to the mains
supply only by a quali ed installer having a relevant
authorization.
Before connecting the appliance to the mains supply
read the information on the rating label and on the
appliance connection scheme.
The mains supply must be equipped with an appropriate
fuse.
Additionally, the mains supply must be equipped with
an appropriate circuit breaker which disconnects the
appliance from the mains supply in emergency situations.
Do not shorten the cord.
NOTE: The installer is obliged to ll in the warranty
card which constitutes a basis for the consideration of
the warranty.
Technical parameters
The technical parameters are indicated on the rating label.
The induction hob is a I class appliance equipped with a cord
having a grounding wire.
The appliance meets the requirements of the applicable
norms.
The appliance is in conformity with the requirements of the
directives:
Low voltage appliance (LVD) – 2006/95/EC.
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) – 2004/108/EC.
The appliance was marked by a CE sign on the rating label.
Product description
The appliance is intended for household use only. The
warranty conditions change if the appliance is used in
gastronomic business.
Zelmer induction hob is designated to cook and heat
food products. It operates based on the principle of the
electromagnetic induction. Magnetic led which creates
rotary currents is generated between the hob surface and the
induction utensil. The ow of such currents causes to utensil
as well as the food products inside the utensil to heat.
The induction hob may only be used with pans and
cooking pots designated for induction cooking.
The generation of the magnetic led depends on the material
of the pot underside.
The selection of utensils marked by this
symbol on the underside or the
packaging ensures that the utensils are designated for use
with the induction hob.
It is recommended to use Zelmer pans and pots
designated for use with induction hobs.
The advantages of induction:
Very short heating time. The removal of the utensil from
the hob automatically stops the heating.
After placing the utensil again on the hob (within
a minute), the hob will automatically restart heating.
Fast reaction upon the change of power.
Lack of open ame and glowing elements considerably
reduces re risk.
The heat is generated only in the pot thanks to which the
energy is used solely for cooking purposes.
Lower energy consumption.
Shorter cooking time.

Preparing the appliance for operation
After switching on the appliance a single beep will be heard
and all indicators will light for about 1 second – it means that
the induction hob is in the standby mode.
Selection of utensils
The induction hob detects if the utensil placed on the heating
zone is suitable for use with the appliance.

Place the utensil on the heating zone.

If the indicator shows the symbol “ ”, the utensil is not
suitable for use with the induction hob.

If it is possible to operate the appliance after setting the
power level, it means that the utensil may be used with the
hob.
Make sure that the bottom of the utensil is at and that
its diameter must be at least equal to the diameter of the
heating zone used.
You may use a magnet to check of the utensil is suitable
for use with the induction hob. If the magnet “attaches”
to the bottom of the utensil, it may be used for induction
cooking.
Operating the hob

Switch on the hob with the button. All indicators will
show “ ”.

Select the heating zone with the or button.

Select the desired power level (1-9) using the ,
buttons. The default setting is 5.
