IMPORTANT GUIDELINES
1. GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS
1.1 Exhaust emission has harmful effect on our environment / public health.
1.2 To safeguard environment from getting polluted, Govt. of India has enforced specific regulations to
control Automobile exhaust emission.
1.3 The Center Motor Vehicle Rule (CMVR) states that for Motorcycles, Carbon Monoxide Emission,
during idling shall always be less than 3.5% (By Volume).
1.4 Non compliance with above standard is a punishable offence.
2. ACTION BY YAMAHA MOTOR INDIA PVT. LTD.
2.1 YMI as a manufacturer ensures that all Motorcycles leaving the Factory meet the exhaust emission
norms as specified by CMVR.
2.2 Special note has been included in the “Owner’s Manual” for reference and attention by the Owner/User.
3. GUIDELINES TO BE FOLLOWED BY THE OWNERS/USERS OF MOTORCYCLES.
3.1 Please ensure that the “CO” Emission is got checked by Authorised Agencies registered with the Appro-
priate Authorities.
3.2 Please ensure that the “CO” is within specified limits of 3.5% (by volume). If it is not so, it should be got
reset by YMIS Authorised Dealer.
3.3 Do not tamper with the Carburetor settings done by the Factory/YMIS Authorised Dealer.
3.4 Please maintain the Log Sheet provided in the Green Book.
3.5 Proper Installation : The Owner/User must clearly understand, from the Dealer, all the points related to
proper Installation of the Motorcycle ad described in the Owner’s Manual.
