DOLBY DIGITAL
When the input signal is Dolby Digital ( )
Speaker output: main, center, rear
Reproduces video discs, video tapes and
similar sources which are Dolby Surround
encoded and bear the “DOLBY
SURROUND” logo.
The built-in Dolby Pro Logic Surround
decoder or Dolby Digital (AC-3) decoder
precisely reproduces sounds and sound
effects of a source encoded with Dolby
Surround. The realization of a highly efficient
decoding process improves crosstalk and
channel separation and makes sound
positioning smoother and more precise.
2. DOLBY PRO LOGIC ENHANCED
When the input signal is analog or PCM audio
()
Speaker output: main, center, rear
DOLBY DIGITAL ENHANCED
When the input signal is Dolby Digital ( )
Speaker output: main, center, rear
Reproduces video discs, video tapes and
similar sources which are Dolby Surround
encoded and bear the “DOLBY
SURROUND” logo.
This program ideally simulates the multi-
surround speaker systems of the 35 mm film
theater.The Dolby Surround decoding and
the digital sound field processing is
precisely performed without altering the
originally designed sound orientation.The
surround effects produced by this sound
field folds the viewer naturally from the rear
to the left and right and toward the screen.
NOTE: If the main channel sound is considerably altered by
overadjustment of the BASS or TREBLE controls, the relationship
with the rear channels may produce an unnatural effect.
DESCRIPTIONS OF THE SOUND FIELD PROGRAMS
The following list gives brief descriptions of the sound fields produced by each of the DSP programs. Keep in mind that most of these
are precise digital recreations of actual acoustic environments. The data for them was recorded at the locations described using
sophisticated sound field measurement equipment.
* The channel level balance between the left rear speaker and the right rear speaker may vary depending on the sound field you are
listening to.This is due to the fact that most of these sound field recreations are actual acoustic environments.
