Med systemet för S-videosignaler separeras de videosignaler som normalt sänds via
en stiftkabel och sänds som Y-signaler för luminans (ljustäthet) och C-signaler för
krominans (färgvärde) genom en S-videokabel. Genom att använda S VIDEO-
uttaget elimineras förluster i överföringen av videosignaler, och vid inspelning och
uppspelning fås en bättre bild.
“x.v.Color”
En färgrymdstandard som stöds av HDMI-version 1.3. Det är en mer omfattande
färgrymd än sRGB, och tillåter uttryck av färger som hittills inte varit möjligt.
Samtidigt som “x.v.Color” förblir kompatibelt med färgområdet för sRGB-standard,
så utvidgar den färgrymden och kan därför återge mer levande och naturtrogna
bilder. Den är speciellt effektiv för stillbilder och datorgrafik.
Videokonvertering
Analog-till-HDMI videokonvertering utförs i enlighet med upplösningen på videosignaler såsom visas nedan. Analog-till-analog videokonvertering är också möjligt när “Analog to Analog Conversion” är satt till “On”
